The GE class's exam had ended, and Louisa only expected to find people waiting for her outside. After all, most students had heard about one of her aunties. The sorority houses were too small to keep every conversation private, every phone call unseen. Alas, when Louisa fainted last night, she was bound to tell someone. Her favorite auntie perished in one of those accidents.
At this point, no one thought of them as mere accidents. To the humans, they were terrorist attacks; to the night creatures, they were hunts. Every clan did their best to hide and move without a trace. Alas, those who deemed themselves safe were the first ones to get hit.
However, Louisa didn't think she'd find the tainted wolf waiting for her. His gaze drove straight into her eyes, and she knew he had come for her instead.
"Ms Moore, can we talk?" Claude approached her as she stopped halfway through the hall. He gave polite smiles to Louisa's friends before expecting her to leave with him.
