Hildr lowered her head slightly in greeting, making sure not to bow. After all, she was a princess. People bowed to her and not the other way around. The hall was already filled with students. There were about fifty of them. They all wore their uniforms and had a few books and papers before them. Hildr ignored all this. She was about to move towards the back and sit down in peace when the teacher at the front spoke up.
"Who might you be?"
This question was clearly meant to lower Hildr from her high horse and establish a new hierarchy within the class. The teacher wanted to be on top. This made sense, but she was dealing with Hildr.
"I remember seeing you at the assembly," this was Hildr's only reply to the "stupid" question.
The teacher gritted her white teeth as waves of Sol came off her slender body.
"Since you are late for the lecture, I will see you during the next class," she said.
The lecturer was clearly inviting Hildr to leave her class.
"I am not late," Hildr replied. She did not move to sit down or leave. She just stood there and faced the lecturer with a calmness that could be taken as a warning. Even though Hildr did not want to cause any trouble before she achieved her goals in this place, she was still not willing to be a doormat for anyone to use as they pleased.
"The lecture starts at exactly nine, and it is already ten minutes past nine."
The lecturer spoke with righteousness on her side.
All the students nodded in agreement. They all looked at Hildr like she was the problem in this situation.
Hildr just shook her head in disappointment.
"I had hoped that the students of this academy were the smartest Lemuria had to offer, but I guess I was wrong."
With these words, all the students wanted to strangle her to death. Still, there were a few courageous young men who were too taken by her beauty to think about anything else. They even forgot that she was the Cursed Princess. Apart from these, the only other people that were on her side were those from the Children of Night.
She was their princess, and they had to be on her side in all matters.
"What do you mean by that?" The lecturer was quickly reaching her limit, and Hildr could see this.
Since this was the case, she decided to de-escalate the situation.
"I am sorry for the blunder on my part. According to the student handbook, I was led to believe that lectures begin at thirty minutes past nine, with the thirty minutes aimed at allowing the students to move to their lecture hall," she said in a humble voice filled with regret.
In the hall, a few people looked at her with glares. One of them was, of course, Amelia, and the other was Adrian. The two were seated next to each other in the second row, and Hildr could sense a strange atmosphere between them.
Hildr's other roommates, Luna, Nara, and Shet, were also in this hall.
They were seated behind Amelia, and they were looking at Hildr as though they were seeing her for the first time. When they met in their common room, they had not gotten any hint that she could be this shameless.
Hildr just smiled at them slightly, and Luna could have even sworn that she saw a slight smirk at the corners of Hildr's mouth.
The words Hildr had just said got all the students thinking, and even the lecturer was shaken. She tried to remember what was in the student handbook, but she did not remember anything of the sort.
Still, Hildr had given her a way out of this situation, and she was more than happy to take it. Even though she was pissed at this little princess, she knew that doing anything crazy, like kicking her out of the lecture, would have consequences for her and her clan, even hundreds of years later.
"Just make sure to arrive on time from now on," said the lecturer. She did not even tell Hildr to arrive by nine.
Hildr smiled at the lecturer with a warm smile.
"Thank you for your understanding." Hildr was sure that from then on, she would be free to arrive at least thirty minutes past nine.
'With just a few words, she has made the lecturer bend to her will.'
Amelia's eyes were glued to Hildr's every move.
Hildr did not care. She moved slowly and sat next to Luna, right behind Amelia.
Amelia felt as though a beast was seated behind her.
This feeling of danger lasted for a few seconds before it went away like a cold wind.
"Let us continue with our discussion."
With these words from the lecturer, the lecture continued as though nothing had happened. Even though a few students were still shaken by the fact that the Cursed Princess was in their group, they soon forgot all about this since Hildr suppressed her presence to the point that some people even forgot that she was in the hall. As an apex predator of the night, it was very easy for Hildr to achieve this. Hildr planned on doing this at the start and would then slowly begin releasing her aura over time. This way, these students would forget to think of her as a threat.
After this lecture ended, another lecturer entered the hall. This time, it was a man who had a cold look on his face. His face and hands were covered in scars, and his black hair was a wild forest.
He wore fitting black clothes, and his black robe seemed to have other functions other than making him look awesome.
"I will be your Battle Master from now on," he announced in a steady, gruff voice.
When the students heard these words ,they sat up straighter and even their faces changed to those of warriors ready to go to war .Hildr wanted to laugh at this .
As for Amelia ,she was caught off guard by the change in mood that swept over the hall.
