Charlotte growled at the chaos unraveling on Reelix and Tendora. She didn't know exactly what Linda had done, but the brutal hit from her brother…it crossed a line. Her jaw clenched, breath ragged as she pressed call again. No answer. Again. Voicemail.
"Pick up the damn phone!" she hissed under her breath.
But he didn't.
"Argh!" she screamed, flinging her phone across the plush couch in front of her. It spun midair and landed with a hard bang on the wall, narrowly missing Annalise's perfectly styled head.
The noisy karaoke room froze.
Utter silence.
