ETHAN'S POV
There are moments in life that whisper instead of shout, quiet, simple gestures that speak volumes.
I had one of those moments this morning.
Watching Ava sleeping peacefully after the night we shared, knowing what her body was going through, what her heart had already carried, I felt something shift inside me.
Gratitude. Reverence. A quiet vow.
She was growing our child. Giving herself entirely to a future we'd only recently had the courage to dream about. And even though she insisted she was fine, strong, capable, I knew pregnancy came with silent battles.
Exhaustion. Hormonal chaos. Emotional waves she didn't always verbalize.
So today, I decided… they both deserved to be cared for. Not just Ava, but Mrs. Rosalind too.
The woman had practically moved mountains to keep Ava steady during these past weeks, fussing like a mother hen and always pretending she wasn't tired.
Her loyalty went beyond duty. It was family.
So I made a few calls.
