Chapter 47 - HHES: Chapter 47

Loki continued his daily training regimen with Gon and Killua. Every morning, he had them perform Ren to enhance their Nen, pushing them to exhaustion. Then, while their bodies were fatigued and their Nen depleted, he had them perform rigorous physical training to push their limits and unlock their potential. To avoid collapsing, they had to constantly exceed their Nen limits. Mornings were for basic Nen training; afternoons were for Shu.

After two weeks, Loki taught them Ken, an advanced Nen technique combining Ten, Zetsu, Ren, Hatsu, and Gō. It focused Nen on one area, increasing attack and defense. Gon and Killua showed exceptional talent, not just in learning speed, but in their recovery ability. Even after exhausting days, they were fully recovered the next day. This was a key reason for their rapid progress.

A month later, Loki had taught them the four basic principles, Gō, Shu, Ken, and Ken. He planned to teach them Ryūand In, but Netero called.

"Why haven't you reported Gon's progress?" Netero asked.

"What?" Loki was surprised.

Netero slapped his head. "I forgot to tell you. Since you're teaching Gon Nen, you're a secret examiner and need to report his progress to the Hunter Association."

"I see. Gon learned the four basic principles, Gō, Shu, Ken, and Ken. He hasn't fully mastered them; he needs more training."

"That's sufficient," Netero said, asking about Loki's progress in the Heaven Arena before hanging up.

Loki's mission panel appeared:

Mission: Guide Gon and Killua to learn Nen and its four basic principles.

Double reward for teaching them Gō, Shu, Ken, and Ken.

One S-rank lottery draw.

Choose one from Hao Asakura, Gin, Youpi, and Portgas D. Ace.

"Mission complete! And an S-rank lottery draw!" Loki exclaimed, surprised. However, he was disappointed it wasn't an SS or SSS-rank draw.

He checked Hao Asakura's options. The Fire Spirit was there, but it was S-rank. Loki sighed. Only one other item was available.

"Shikigami—Zenki and Goki!"

Zenki and Goki were Hao Asakura's shikigami, but Anna took them. Yet, they were available in the system. Shikigami aren't familiars; they're bound through rituals. Once bound, they serve their master.

Loki didn't expect anything good from an S-rank draw. Other characters' S-rank abilities and items probably wouldn't be good either.

"It's just an S-rank draw, but Zenki and Goki are good. They're Hao Asakura's shikigami in His first life; they'll be useful."

He didn't check other characters' options. To get the Fire Spirit, he needed an SS-rank draw. He looked at the Fire Spirit. "I'll get you back. Wait!"

Ding! Confirming S-rank draw: Shikigami—Zenki and Goki.

Extracting…

Extraction successful.

The system was silent. Loki opened his inventory; only Senzu beans were there. Zenki and Goki weren't there.

"They're not there. They're probably like Zanpakutō, merging with my Nen ability," Loki thought.

His Nen surged. Two Nen lights flew out, landing in his room, transforming into two large figures.

"Lord Loki!" Zenki and Goki knelt, bowing. They were twice Loki's height, with six-pointed star eyes and sharp teeth. They had large heads and legs, but no bodies. Zenki was red, with two horns and a long axe. Goki was blue, with one horn and broad arms, appearing stronger and heavier than Zenki.

They stood silently before Loki. Loki instantly understood how to control them. He knew them well; they were Hao Asakura's shikigami, later taken by Anna.

Summoning them didn't consume much Nen—less than 10%.

'Low consumption. I can accept them. Let's see their attack and defense.' He dismissed them, returning them to his Nen.

Zenki and Goki were self-controlled Nen beasts. They understood complex commands. They weren't just Nen beasts; they had their own minds. The system integrated them into Loki's Nen ability, making them his Nen beasts.

This was another upgrade for Loki. He needed to test their power and see if he could infuse more Nen to strengthen them. Their Nen beast form was different from before; many things needed testing.

Loki only had the ten-win mission left. This was a problem. Floor 200 fighters weren't registering for matches. He didn't know how long it would take.

"Maybe the mission isn't about opponents or wins, but time," Loki realized. The mission gave an S-rank reward. If it were difficult opponents, the reward would be higher. Strong opponents would make ten wins difficult. The S-rank reward was probably because it would take a long time.

Hisoka had only fought ten matches in years. Fighters only need four matches a year. Hisoka had nine wins. Loki had four wins (three from newcomers, one from Hisoka). No one wanted to fight him now. Ten wins would take months. The mission was about completion time, not opponent strength.

Loki slapped his head. "Mistake! I should have hidden my strength, making each match look difficult. That would attract opponents, and I'd get ten wins quickly."

He regretted showing his one-punch power. How long would ten wins take?

"The easiest way is to force them to fight me," Loki thought, believing time was the key to a double reward.

Gon and Killua arrived in the afternoon. After training them, Loki focused on the ten-win mission. He needed six more matches. He needed to find six opponents to fight him.

He let Gon and Killua train in the room.
