Chapter 7 - Room 4-1

Chapter 7,

Mockingbird's Hues

Third Person's POV

Appearing at the mini game room, they gazed everywhere trying to look for something that looked dreadful, weird, or maybe frightening. Realizing what's front, they were shocked, not by the game being scary one more time, but because it was the opposite of what they would expect and usually see.

There were many birds, 13 to be precise. They are the same species, but they differ in their colors and sizes.

"What's this, they're small?" Tj asked as he tries to touch the bird, "OUCH!!!" He screamed in pain very loudly.

"What the hell does this birds have to do with us?!" Tj was fumed.

"Calm down, I shall tell it," the other women who was in charge of announcing came forth in a hologram.

"There are thirteen birds in total. They come from Violet, Indigo, Pink, Dark Blue, Yellow, Light Blue, Green, Moss Green, Orange, Red, Vermillion, White, Black, and Rainbow. Each will be revealing something about you using their magic and you all have to be put on an illusion to face the different kind of memories shown by the birds using their magic. Be careful, your dark pasts might get revealed." The girl explained like she was bored with her stuffs.

*The lobby where the Regulators are*

"Will they be okay?" Gella asked in a cute, but worried tone. She was sincerely saying it.

"Let them be, everything has their consequences," another man spoke from the shadows in a monotone voice.

"Well then, forget about those sh*theads. How about that user, Hermy?" Another one spoke. This time, it was a girl in a cloak and only her scarlet hair are seen in a braid lying on her left chest. She was sitting on the chair, her legs in crossed and her hand on her chin, conveying a search for fun.

"Nothing unusual about him. The other was from the Zilch, he was not interesting on the same sides." Hermy just closed his eyes.

After a while, a big man came in with a tall and slender one wearing nothing but blackish jeans paired with a hoodless jacket dyed with the hue of Fall.

"Since everyone is present right now, shall we start?" The guy in jacket spoke.

"Well then. . ." They all stood up blowing away their coverings.

"I've never seen this kind of bird before. . ." Lyka stated as she examines the birds.

"Of course, you won't. They're written on the 'Book of Secrets', after all. Only Royal families and higher are allowed to have those copies," Zephyr said as he was not looking at Lyka.

"What's wrong? You seemed off key today, aren't you?" Zephyr looked worried as he held his hand on Eljeric's forehead for he seemed to be trembling with fear. This was a great opportunity for Zephyr's 'acting' to be shown.

"No, it's nothing," Eljeric replied in a low, down tone.

He seemed to be troubled with something, but the others seemed to not notice anything troubling about it. The others could only think, "Is something that scary about these cute birds?"

By a sudden, Gella appeared and replaced the old hologram screen "Your group shall start now, don't let the other players take the lead! Anyways, Gella is back!!!" She was filled with excitement, a seek for thrill in the game being shown in her eyes.

Coming forth, the four first approached the Indigo. The bird suddenly attacked them and their surroundings went black as their faces gets attacked.

Waking up, Eljeric held his head for he feels dizzy from the unusual experience. Yes, he knew that the birds does that based on their color, but imagining and experiencing it is two different things, it was way too much far from his expectations.

He stood up, then brushed off the dusts in his body and was greatly shocked when he faced his front after. It was a little kid in front of him, glancing back at his gazes of innocence. It was his picture in the mirror staring back at himself who's in his 7th year age.

"What are you doing there?" A guy who suddenly opened the door said, startling the kid making him look at his direction, "Aren't you lonely there? Come here," he added while giving a faint, gentle smile.

"Brother. . ." Tears formed in Eljeric's eyes as he run towards his brother's direction and hugging him very tightly.

"What? Do you feel sad?" His brother never wipes off his smile and started to gently pat his little brother's head.

He chuckled faintly, "Now, you should eat. The others are done, but I waited for you, let's eat."

Looking closely, he's indeed Eljeric's oldest brother. He has white hair, emerald-like green eyes, tall and slender feature, gentle smile, and love for his family. He was still in his school uniform, but it's not something to speak about.

Eljeric sat down and looked at the food in front. It was his brother's cooking and he can tell them apart even from great chefs His brother's cooking was more than satisfying for him.

Before he could start eating, three more persons came rushing to their direction. One was the one and only girl among them, Thrisha Feiguil. Behind her was the twins, which are the second and third male of the family of Feiguil, the older, Keine, and the younger, Eiji Feiguil.

"Terrance, that's unfair! You should be considerate to your other siblings. Everyone's equal, right?!" The oldest, Thrisha, protested.

"That's right! Eiji and I are also your brother, you know!" Keine came forth with Eiji behind him.

The two are the complete opposite to each other. Keine are very cheerful, energetic and friendly. He's good at sports, physical activities and no other subjects than math. He has a great reputation in their school and seen as a hot idol by the girls. He's almost as tall as Terrance, despite Terrance being a year older than him and he posses orange hair and three piercing in his left ear.

On the other hand, Eiji was a quiet, gentle, and secretly caring boy. He's a quite timid most of the times, but it's considered as cute by his fellow students. He's extremely bad at sports and physical activities, unlike his brother, but he excels when it gets to battles of wits. He's a little shorter than Keine and always wears a jacket with him, but he wears hoodless jackets most of the time making him more cool-looking and hot. The two paired, really makes a good team, specially with their abilities combined. The two was even considered as the Young Star of the Gemini Association, an association that is composed of twins which expertise in battle tactics and fights.

"Pay respect to your older sister," Thrisha sat down on the table parallel to Terrance, showing the vibes of elegance and nobility.

Looking closely, anyone could fall for her beauty. She wears a skirt fitting her beauty that can only be compared to none. She had her black hair untied, and has a hair clip with a design of stars and a large crescent moon on some few strands of her hair on her left side. It was not covering her hazel eyes that can charm any man that steals a gaze in her capturing eyes.

As expected from the Feiguil family, everyone is famous in their different aspects and Thrisha won't let herself go last. She's known as the Princess of Force. She can use a rare ability: No Gravity, than can control the gravitational force in a certain radius, and even mastered it fully at a young age of 14. She became an Engineer, which she said to be fitting for her ability giving full shock to the peoples she told that to. Unknown to some, she was the leader of a guild that exterminates bad peoples, the Pink Rosevines which is consist of only women.

"I get it, I get it," Terrance stated, slightly laughing gracefully.

He stood up to cook it, and the twins sat and starts to chat a few with Thrisha, who had been keeping her composure for she's excited to eat his little brother's cooking. She has to play like a "noble" for his brother to cook him.

Eljeric stood up and approached his brother who's cooking steaks for the other three. Seeing his brother take three plates, he wondered about the reason for its use.

"I'll go help out," Eljeric said and gave a smile similar to his older brother. Heredity it is.

Picking up the plates that already has a steak cooked, his brother smiled back, "Thank you." He started to gently pat Eljeric's head.

"You don't have anything to do, don't you?" Terrance asked after Eljeric finishes putting the dishes on the table for everyone to eat.

With those words, Eljeric remembered his reason fro beings here. He remembered that this was just a memory and this had already passed away.

Eljeric ate every mince of meat he could without leaving any evidences on the plate, then rushed on towards his room. Looking around, he found no clues on how to finish this illusions he's having. In fact, it wasn't stated in that 'Book' that it was even possible to.

After hearing voices from near, he went for the door to peek at the two people. Peeking there, he saw his brother, Terrance, with another man.

The man looked really like his brother in some few aspects and angles, specially their looks the how they express their aura. Although Terrance has his hair white paired with emerald green eyes, the other was different. He wears a cold face that matches his black hair and obsidian eyes like it was his brother's opposite self. He wears no formal clothes, but it's enough to attract any woman who catches him with their eyes. He only has a black jacket coupled with black jeans and black rubber shoes. A bad boy, or so he seemed.

"When can we get ready, Krypton?" Eljeric's brother asked.

"Unfortunately, we have another year to waste. Why not spend more time with your family by then? Besides, you need to build a strong relationship with him, am I wrong?" Said Krypton.

"Get ready for that day. It's something special, after all. Also, look for the diary Eljeric wrote for me. Magic is embedded with it, so be cautious," Terrace added.

"What diary?" Eljeric mumbled to himself.

In a sudden, Eljeric came towards the direction of his bed and crouched to look under.

"I knew it!" He looked at a chest almost as big as half of Eljeric.

Opening it, there was only nothing there, but a piece of notebook. It was golden in color and was emitting the hue of it's own golden color.

He grabbed the unfamiliar notebook and opened it. Seeing what's inside, he was perplexed. It was only an empty book without even a single word inside. Even numbers or symbols or any type of writing or scribbles. It was only plain white.

"What's so important with this?" He asked to himself.

Barging out of the door, he went to find his older brother to give it to him. He searched, searched, and searched for it, but no traces of him was seen in every corner of the house.

Going for the last destination, the garden where his brother usually goes to, he found him there with Krypton standing.

Seeing them so close together, he thought, "What could brother be whispering to him? Is he even whispering?" and only wondered while he got close.

"Bro—" Before he could finish, his brother pushed Krypton back with not much force making him bounce back.

"Uh, Eljeric, what are you doing here?" Terrance anxiously asked.

"Oh, I want to give this to you," He replied, handing the notebook to his brother for he didn't know the reason why his bother acted like that.

"Oh, your. . .is written rig. . .here. . . ." Without hearing the words property, Eljeric jolted back to reality, suddenly holding Zephyr's hand out of nowhere.

"What's wrong?" Zephyr looked worried.

Looking at the Indigo bird, it waved at them, then flew away towards nowhere and turned into smokes of dusts. Seeing what happened, Zephyr could only ask:

"What was that?"
