Chapter 8 - Room 4-2

Chapter 8,

Villain Violet

Third Person's POV

"Took you long enough," Zephyr said, looking at Eljeric with an emotionless face.

"What happened there? You took your time, didn't you?" said Lyka.

"Wasn't it supposed to be like that? Is that unnatural?" Eljeric asked as he was looking at the time on his phone.

"Well, it's not unnatural, but. . ." She kept silent.

From there, he understands what she meant. She's just worried about Eljeric taking too long. Besides, taking too long means that Eljeric's chance of dying is getting bigger and bigger. Or that's just what they say.

"I didn't knew this was harder than expected," Eljeric sighed.

"Harder? Wasn't the last bird the one who's the hardest? This one was just a piece of cake!" Tj said, insensitively.

"Is that so?" Eljeric replied.

Deep inside, he was wondering in the forest of thoughts. He would ask inside, "Well then, why did it took me long?", or, "How can't I remember my purpose when I face the illusion?", but those questions never really mattered. Even if he questioned himself with a question with the answer unknown to him, it would only be futile. He never knew how to answer himself, to begin with.

"What did you see?" Eljeric looked at Zephyr.

"Huh?" Zephyr asked.

"What did you see in the illusion?" Eljeric repeated.

"It's nothing. Just took a piece of paper in front of me, and before I could read it, I came back here," he said, keeping his indifferent face.

After his words, the atmosphere became quiet until Lyka dared to break it, "Enough with that, let's move on to the next one."

"Where?" Tj asked.

"Violet," Zephyr said as he was staring at the violet bird that was in his front.

"That reminds me, we didn't went for the first bird didn't we? Why did we ignore the violet?" The kept on mumbling.

"Let's go!" Lyka called out on Tj.

Taking a deep breath, Eljeric slowly extended his hands towards the bird trying to touch it. Colliding with the bird's forehead, his hands trembled, and suddenly, the place changed in just a split second.

The view was stunning, indeed, despite being dreadful at the same time. What was in front is a devastated land burning to the ground. It was the Human Realm being burned to the ground. It was a destruction, but Eljeric could see the art within the picture, specially when he's standing in the middle of all.

He was wearing a cloak, and hidden in it was his gauntlets and daggers. What was different in his gauntlets and daggers is that it's color are purple, and it looked really strong, sharp, and sturdy. On his foot was a pair of silver boots that emits purple hue. The clothes he's wearing seemed expensive, too. He was wearing a formal clothes stained with no other than crimson blood that caught his attention.

"What the. . ."

When he touched the red liquid, it was still fresh like it was just here a few minutes ago. It came dropping in his hand making himself shake inevitably.

Stepping back, he fell down into the ground and fell unconscious. His vision became blurry and blood was dripping from his head. He was sure that he was in a high place, and he knows that there's something to step on behind him. Thinking about it was just giving him too much pain in his own head, so he could only let himself drown in darkness and meet his slumber for eternity.

"My head!" Eljeric woke up like he was asleep as he became conscious about himself falling off that high place.

Looking around, he finally knew his whereabouts. He was now, wearing a brown clock that's almost ripped apart and a few parts were torn. He was in the middle of a certain town, and he was up in a piece of wood, tied by the hand and feet. It was like he was crucified, but only in a single wood.

Seeing a familiar person, he called out, "Brother!"

***

Zephyr touched the bird and he was out under an illusion. In front of him was a book that has a title written there. It says, "Nanimo Nai" by Zephyr Zilch. Seeing it, he was sure that he was not the one who wrote that book.

Opening the book, he saw nothing in the pages, and kept on flipping it until it reached the last page. He seen no page with writings in it.

With a dark expression, he said, "This again? Why?"

After closing the book, he immediately came back to where he came from and saw no one was there. It means he was the first one to survive.

"Gella, are you there?" He called out.

"Gella-san is here! Anything you need, Mr. Zephyr Zilch?" She smiled after appearing in a hologram.

"Can I watch the illusion the others are having?" He asked, not giving Gella any gazes or attention. Not even a bit.

"Sure thing! Which person do you want to watch?" Gella energetically asked.

Once again, his face became dark, "Eljeric Reizin Feiguil."

For a second, Gella paused by his words, "Uh-Uhm, right away, sir!"

No one can blame her. They all knew that Eljeric's last name is Reizin, not Feiguil. And added to it that he was treated like a commoner. He was given a cheap room, cheap things and treated lowly, after all.

"This is?" Zephyr's look was unchanging, but he was shocked, for sure. Eljeric's illusion was something shocking for him.

Eljeric was scanning the burning place and he seemed to be the cause of the burning. He looked at the blooded clothing of his and touched it. He saw it fresh and fear was shown in his face. Taking a step back, the place became dark all of the sudden and he fall down. The place changed and he fell on the ground, head first.

Once again, the place changed and Eljeric woke up, tied up in a vertical wood. He looked weak as he scanned the place. Seeing his, too, Gella was shocked. This was rare, to put it.

"Brother!" Eljeric called out to a man with a white snow hair. It was Terrance.

"That's Terrance Clarence Neolicus Feiguil, one of the Feiguil family." Zephyr spoke.

"Who are those?" Tj asked as he and Lyka descends.

Zephyr looked at them before speaking, "They're a Hidden Royal Family. Only Royal Families knows of them for they don't usually communicate with commoners, but supports them from behind."

"I didn't know there are good people like that." Tj nodded in understanding.

"Apparently, Eljeric claimed himself to be one of the Feiguils. It was before we came to the last room when he woke up," Zephyr added.

"Well then, his brother will help his, right?" Tj asked.

"No, this is an illusion, not reality," Gella spoke up.

Looking back at the video footage, Eljeric was wounded badly and his clothes are badly torn apart.

"Burn the Monster!" A man exclaimed.

"Take him back to hell!" Another said.

"Don't give pity! Throw him rocks!" A little child said.

"Everyone, attention, please," Terrance said, and everyone diverted their attention to him, "Today, we're gonna burn this Monster and I will be the one to lead it. From now on, their kind will end by the death of their leader. He never should've been born into this cruel world."

Hearing those words, Eljeric started to cry. Specially, Terrance's words hit him with a big blow the most. He was the closest to him, after all.

"Stop messing with me!" Eljeric shouted.

"How unforgivable your soul is! You never learn, you humans! You only move like how the others do! Instead of believing in justice, you believe in your self-justice to judge what's good or evil. You make me sick!" With Eljeric's words, it hit the four who was watching him.

"Never should've been born?! You say that?! You look like an angel, but your tongue is a devil's! After all that! Those days!" Eljeric's face was sweating and his face seemed to endlessly overflow.

"Shut up, you monster!" A woman threw a stand to him.

"That's right! You don't deserve to even utter words that human speak! Speak like a monster, show your true self!" A man shouted.

"That's too much!" Lyka protested.

By the words, Lyka, Tj and Gella felt sympathy for Eljeric who was crying hard that they want to jump in. On the other side, Zephyr was not feeling any, not a bit.

"Speak for yourselves. Monster, monster, monster! You keep on calling me that! If you kill me, let's see who's the monster now! You see strong people as monsters if you don't like their attitude. In the end, your just criticizing what you see!" Eljeric fought back.

"Shut up! A monster will stay as a monster!" A little girl said.

"That's right!" The others agreed.

"Well, now. Let's stop that. Let's just burn for our suffering to end," Terrance held out a torch high.

"Yeah!!!" Everyone exclaimed.

"Goodbye, Monster. May you be burned in the depths of Hell," Terrance looked at Eljeric disgustingly and burned him from the ground.

"Wait! Can't we do something? He'll die!" Lyka shouts.

"We can't, that's the rule," Gella replied.

Eljeric speaking, they diverted their attention to him, "I can't die yet. Not until I live my life purging evil in this world and did after long years. I promised. If you want me to speak like a villain, then I will." Eljeric started to laugh like a psychopath.

"What? You're now covered in each other's blood? What is that?" By his words, the four who was watching was shocked.

In a sudden, the people was dead and only a few were alive including Terrance in one of them, and they were stained in blood everywhere.

"What is this?!" A man spoke up.

"My daughter. I didn't do it, I promise. Please, please for give me!!!" A woman came crying as she hugged a little girl who was killed by her own hands.

"How did it felt? Now, you're all monsters. Feels like what?" Eljeric shouted as he was now down walking in the ground.

"Well, no fun at all. Besides, this was just an illusion to begin with. I'm at 'That place' aren't I?" Saying the last sentence, Eljeric disappeared along with the projected video and teleported back into where they are.

"Are you okay?" Zephyr asked after catching him before he could fall down.

"Energy. . .bag. . . potion. . ." Eljeric pointed at his bag as he was weakend too much by the exhaustion in using his ability too much.

Taking some kind of potions in his bag, Zephyr arranged them in front of Eljeric and let him decide the one hell use.

Pointing at the bottle filled with green liquid, Zephyr took it and dripped it in his mouth. Rapidly, the sounds in his body healed without any scares left and he was energized.

"How the hell did that happen?" Lyka asked.

"I have some unfinished business. . ." Eljeric stood up.

He approached the Violet bird and said, "Your a dead meat. Your nothing but a piece of feather," with that, the bird suddenly vanished and there fell a piece of feather colored violet like the bird.

"What was that? To be precise, what are you, Eljeric?" Lyka asked, devastated by the turn of events.

"It seems like my ability is no telekinesis. I can make everything come true, even the lies." Suddenly, Eljeric coughed up blood in his hands.

"Are you okay?" Zephyr asked in his so-called kind voice filled with affections which is considered FAKE!

"I'm fine. Just erasing a lifeform is takes too much toll on me. Anyways, where'd Gella go?" Eljeric asked.

"Now that you mentioned it. She was here with us, watching you from afar. She even chatted with us." Lyka explained.

Little did they knew, Gella was scared to face Eljeric for what they did. They gave him that kind of treatment and they were scared of his power. They might do something bad to him.

"Whatever. Let's move on," Eljeric smiled it away.
