Hazel Morgan clutched the photos in her hand as she followed Henry into Martin Riley's office.
"Martin, take a look at these photos. I've told you before, Sylvia Byrne is trouble. Do you know she had dinner alone with Marvin Mitchell?"
Martin glanced at the photos, which showed two people from behind, keeping a respectable distance, with no hint of intimacy.
"Hazel, I thought you were smarter than this. Do you really think a few photos can ruin someone's reputation? Go ahead, show them to anyone, even the media. See if anyone believes your story."
Martin's words drained the color from Hazel's face, leaving her swaying in disbelief. She couldn't fathom that these words came from him.
"Martin, what's happened to you? You're not the same. Did Sylvia say something to you? Don't trust her..."
Tears welled up in Hazel's eyes. Why couldn't Martin see Sylvia's true nature?
