Chapter 51 - "51: Alchemy and Blacksmith"

After the brief round of jokes, Campione Su Mo brought the conversation back on track.

"The power system in the world of Genshin Impact mainly revolves around the Seven Elements," he said.

" Anemo, Geo, Electro, Hydro, Pyro, Cyro and Dendro —these elements are all quite common forms of power."

"Whether it's the Fairy Tail World or our mine world, none of these elemental powers are lacking."

Take his current authority as an example— [Lord of the Skies].

It already grants him the ability to command wind, rain, ice, lightning, and snow.

And let's not forget the [War God of the East] authority, whose white horse avatar embodies the power of the sun itself—controlling solar flames.

Together, these cover over half of the elemental system used in the Genshin world.

"Elemental energy in Genshin is simply too common," Su Mo continued. "Instead of investing time in trying to master these elements here, it makes more sense to let the Su Mo from the Fairy Tail World study the respective magic, or for me to acquire the relevant Authorities."

"Either way, it's far quicker and easier than trying to learn them in Genshin."

"That's true," Genshin World Su Mo nodded in agreement. "Here, unless you're the protagonist, it's extremely difficult to get all seven elements."

Even getting lucky enough to receive a Vision only grants one elemental affinity.

Compared to the God-Slayer and Fairy Tail worlds, obtaining elemental powers in Genshin is much more challenging.

So instead of forcing it, it would be better to leave the elemental paths to his counterparts from other worlds.

As for himself, it would be more worthwhile to focus on something more unique to his world.

"Aside from the elements, the only things truly special in my world are Alchemy and Weapon Forging," Genshin Su Mo analyzed after a moment of thought. "That's something I can definitely explore further."

Alchemy.

While in the game it mostly involves upgrading low-quality items into high-quality ones…

That's really just scratching the surface.

In the lore, alchemy is far more complex—bordering on unlocking the mysteries of life itself.

Take Sucrose, for example. Her skills and ultimate are the direct results of deep alchemical research, enabling her to mimic the powers of elemental creatures.

Then there's Albedo, Mondstadt's Chief Alchemist.

His alchemy is so advanced it can make dead branches bloom—potentially even creating life itself.

In fact, there's reason to believe he himself might be an artificial human, the product of alchemical creation.

All this points to one thing—alchemy in the Genshin World touches on divine power. It's not something to be underestimated.

"Alchemy really is a powerful force in your world," Campione Su Mo nodded in agreement.

"As for weapon forging… well, you're in luck. That actually matches perfectly with one of the development skills we acquired."

He was referring to the [Blacksmith] skill that the Su Mo from the DanMachi World had obtained upon leveling up.

Initially, they thought it might take a while before someone could make use of it.

But unexpectedly, it suited this newcomer perfectly.

"Oh?" Genshin Su Mo raised an eyebrow in surprise.

Then he felt a subtle resonance—and his expression lit up with joy.

"There really is a Blacksmith Skill? That'll make this so much easier for me!"

With a Development Skill like that, all he needed was enough proficiency and experience to raise its level over time.

It was certainly much simpler than starting from scratch.

"Forging your own weapons, huh?" muttered Su Mo from the Ultraman World, stroking his chin. "In that case, doesn't that mean you could forge things like Wolf's Gravestone or Primordial Jade Winged-Spear?"

"I remember that even bows and catalysts in the Genshin World are made by blacksmiths. So if you level up that skill enough… doesn't that mean you could make your own five-star weapons?"

The Genshin weapon banner had always been expensive. Back in his previous life, he never dared to touch it.

But now, with the Forging skill in hand…

He could finally live that dream from his past life—

An entire arsenal of five-star weapons!

All gold-tier equipment, lining the walls of his own personal armory.

Something he'd never even imagined before.

"That shouldn't be a problem," Genshin Su Mo nodded confidently.

"In the real world, I doubt we'd be restricted to crafting just a few weapons like in the game."

"Of course, the materials might be different—and possibly much rarer."

Which made perfect sense.

Game mechanics always simplify the process, but in a real-world scenario, forging materials wouldn't be so easy to come by.

On the flip side, that also meant the ceiling for crafting quality was much higher.

"That's no issue," Campione Su Mo replied with a small smile.

"Once we start making high-grade weapons, we can sell them and use the money to fund other needs."

"That way, we won't have to run errands just to make ends meet."

"That makes perfect sense!" Genshin Su Mo's eyes lit up.

He definitely didn't want to end up like his game counterpart—running across the map for random commissions.

Especially those no element, no flight, deliver-the-package-by-foot commissions—pure torture!

If forging weapons could generate enough income, it would directly support his research into alchemy.

A win-win on all fronts.

And so, the three Su Mos finished discussing their respective development paths.

They also took some time to exchange their recent experiences and formed a general consensus going forward.

Once that was done, they bid each other farewell and exited the misty space.
