Chapter 32 - Fuck, I'm a lucky man.

As David was walking along the road and examining the new buildings and infrastructure, Mio and Tomoe were deep in thought with each other.

[Tomoe > Mio] 'When he said all of eternity, it sounded like he was talking about becoming immortal.'

[Mio > Tomoe] 'I agree. While I would happily stay with him for eternity, it shouldn't be as simple as he made it sound. What if he has to do dangerous trials to become truly immortal?'

[Tomoe > Mio] 'That's my concern. I don't want anything to happen to the young master. Even if he only lives for a few thousand years or even a few centuries, I'd be happy.'

[Mio > Tomoe] 'Should we ask him about it tonight?'

[Tomoe > Mio] 'We? Are you planning on staying the night with him as well?'

[Mio > Tomoe] 'Naturally. If we're both going to be his women in the future anyway, I don't see why we can't share a bed with him together.'

[Tomoe > Mio] 'We're talking about having sex with him. You don't mind having sex with him while I'm there?'

[Mio > Tomoe] 'No? I love the young master and I will do whatever he asks of me. If he wants to sleep with you alone, I'll not complain. If he wants to sleep with the both of us, that's even better for me.'

[Tomoe > Mio] 'It seems we are in agreement then. I don't mind my first night with him being your first night with him either. I'm rather curious, though. Why did he make it sound so serious to be with him for the rest of our lives? Weren't we already prepared for that?'

[Mio > Tomoe] 'Maybe he thought we might have some resistance to the idea? Honestly, the only thing I was reluctant about is the fact that he'll have many more women in the future, but as long as I have a place in his heart, it doesn't really bother me that much. However, I'll kill any harlot that tries to seduce him with ill intent...'

[Tomoe > Mio] 'I feel the same as you. So, we're both attending to him tonight?'

[Mio > Tomoe] 'Indeed we are.'

Tomoe and Mio started chuckling amongst themselves, confusing David.

"Tomoe, Mio, can either of you tell me the changes made to the buildings around here? There are hundreds of houses now and they all seem to follow the same general style."

Tomoe came back to her senses and nodded, "Fufun~, of course! These houses are similar to the simple townhouses in Japan and they have all been installed with plumbing for proper hygiene. The sewage system runs into the river to the east and the water is provided from the river to the west."

"I took inspiration from some of your memories and created a bidet that is in every toilet. Each family owns a house and there are currently apartment buildings being constructed for anyone who just wants to live in a smaller space."

"There are multiple stores in the town that are run by people that didn't feel comfortable being relied on as a combative force so they sell various items and equipment. A lot of people have already cleared the Normal difficulty in the Dimensional Gate Tower's challenge zones, but they just received various types of weapons and gold so they decided to sell their weapons to the Elder Dwarves' shops."

"Toa and her party have been training out in the wild these past few months so that they can finally clear their first dungeon that appeared when you placed the tower."

"I also used the CMI to create a simple coliseum using resources we got from the Western Quarry and Western Forest. The coliseum has a built-in spell that keeps people from permanently dying so that fighters can go all out when fighting. If anyone dies in the arena, they'll just appear in the waiting area in the coliseum."

David nodded, taking in all of this information.

⟪ They really made a lot of progress in just seven months. Then again, they're all extremely strong and can use magic so it's not that surprising I suppose. ⟫

"How's the progress on the manor they were building for me?"

Tomoe and Mio looked at each other and smiled before leading him to the construction site of his manor.

After excitedly running through the town for a few minutes, they arrived at the top of the cliff they were at previously when they first started construction.

Below them was a massive manor surrounded by 4-meter tall stone walls, a simple iron gate, and a long stone path leading from the entrance of the gate to the entrance of the manor.

The manor had five floors and looked like a fantasy mansion mixed with modern architecture. There were also buildings on the estate for servants, guests, banquets, meetings, and training.

There were beautiful gardens and a fountain in between the gate and the manor's main entrance. The front of the manor had enough space for large vehicles to be able to drive up with ease while not making it look cramped.

The manor was 2km x 2.5km x 20m.

"This..."

David was shocked speechless when he saw the huge estate in front of him.

While the manor itself was absolutely massive, the buildings surrounding it weren't small themselves.

The servants' quarters were 700m x 500m x 30m. It looked like a modern apartment building and surprisingly, didn't look out of place in the fantasy estate.

The guest building was slightly smaller at 600m x 400m x 15m, but it, too, looked like an apartment building.

The building for banquets, meetings, and training were all smaller than the aforementioned buildings, but they each had their own charm to them.

The gardens in front of the manor looked beautiful and David immediately thought about spending his days relaxing inside them. There were a few Alkes fully transformed into humans tending to the gardens, looking absolutely delighted to be doing so.

"So, young master? What do you think?" Tomoe asked with a smug grin.

David could only shake his head. "Seriously, this is way too grand for me. I love it, but I'm worried that a lot of the space will go unused and I hate to be wasteful."

"Don't worry, young master. The manor isn't only filled with bedrooms. In fact, only the second and third floors have bedrooms. Granted, there are quite a large number of bedrooms, but! The other floors have space dedicated to future projects such as an arcade, a movie theater, a grand library, and so much more! It's going to be great!"

David freed his arms and patted Tomoe and Mio on the head while he stared blankly at his new estate.

⟪ Should I move out of Roselia Heights and just stay in the Cradle? No no, I'll just link them together. That way, there will always be a connection between my Cradle and my home world... Ah, now that I think about it, I should find a place in this world to link to the tower. ⟫

⟪ Chaos-chan, would that shitty goddess be able to interfere with the system's dimensional gates or are they fine? I can add more security if I need to. ⟫

[...]

Chaos-chan wanted to reprimand David for forgetting to deactivate his inner voice again, but she decided to just let it be.

[You'll be fine. The Dimensional Gates are powered by chaos and Cosma. Thus, there's no way a measly narcissistic bitch like the goddess can even think about messing with it.]

⟪ Sweet, that makes things easier. Hell, I might even create a dimensional gate in the goddess' home when I brainwash her. ⟫

[Don't put the cart before the horse. You still don't know if she's going to abduct you or not.]

⟪ Oh, please. Knowing her, she'll either be attracted to my appearance or my power. Either way, I won't draw her attention until after I'm done saving the Rembrandt sisters. It'll be easier to deal with Tomoki and the goddess at the same time. I spent a quite a few days just on the goddess' brainwashing spell. It won't require my energy to power and will instead drain it directly from her, thus, she'll be powering her own demise, heheh~. ⟫

[Alright, I'll trust what you have planned. I didn't see what you created in the past week so you'll have to show me later.]

⟪ Sure! But first, I want to look around the estate for a bit with my girls, then I'll find out if Makoto gave the dagger back to Toa and if anything happened between them. If there's nothing between them, that's fine, but hopefully at least a little happened. Then, I'll give Makoto his new weapon. He's gonna love it, heheh. After all of that, it'll probably be too late to do anything else so I'll sleep in the manor and wait for Tomoe and Mio to give me their answers. ⟫

David stopped patting Tomoe and Mio's heads and grabbed their hands before he pulled them and jumped off the cliff.

He created a steep ramp out of Reiatsu and looked like he was sliding on air.

After he reached the bottom, he walked through the open iron gates and started looking around the estate up close.

The Alkes in the gardens all waved at David as he passed by, causing him to smile and wave back.

He could see that there were various enchantments on the buildings which confused David.

"Tomoe, who enchanted these buildings?"

It wasn't the fact that they were simply enchanted that confused David, but because they were enchanted using the runes David created.

"Ah, I learned your magic from your memories, young master. Was that not alright?"

David's mouth opened in an "O" shape as he realized his mistake.

"Oh... No, it's fine. Just don't teach others about those runes, okay? Some of them are too dangerous for other people to know. Honestly, I'm impressed you were able to get the hang of them. You'd probably make a good programmer if you ever decided to mess with computers."

Tomoe nodded and patted her chest proudly, "Leave it to me, young master! This magic will be our secret!"

Mio sulked and tugged at David's arm, "Mouuu~, why can't I learn them, too?"

David turned to Mio and smiled. "You can learn them, but you have to make sure you don't destroy the planet if you get angry. With the amount of power you have, you could probably do so."

Mio unfolded her fan in front of her face, "My~, you think I'd do something like that, young master~?"

"Haha, of course not... Ahaha..."

David continued walking toward the entrance of the manor, excited to see what was inside.

[Just so you know, you were incorrect. Mio only has mana as an energy source and while she can use all of your runes, she wouldn't be able to destroy the planet. Her mana is stronger than yours which is why she can use them all while you were only able to use Tier-1 runes before acquiring spiritual energy. However, if she wanted to be strong enough to use your runes to destroy a planet, she'd need more than just mana as her energy source.]

'...Right, I forgot about how shitty my magic system is... Still, I won't tell Mio that.'

When they arrived at the front door of the manor, David pushed it open and was greeted by a light yet pleasant floral aroma.

The floor resembled the one in the Dimensional Gate Tower, beautiful and smooth white marble tiles.

The walls were a dark wood that matched the dark stone ceiling, giving the inside a more modern look than expected.

There were tall windows that let in the perfect amount of light, keeping the interior from feeling dark and dreary.

The ceiling had small holes cut into it that held glowing white orbs which provided more light to the space.

In the center of the entrance area, there was a large staircase made out of a lighter shade of dark stone compared to the ceiling. The staircase was wide and branched off to the sides at the top, leading to the second floor.

There were various rooms that were either kitchens, small libraries, offices, toilets, bathrooms, and even hot springs.

Aside from the indoor hot springs, behind the house in a bamboo fenced area was an outdoor hot spring.

David's mouth was wide open the entire time. He was thoroughly impressed with the manor thus far.

After introducing various rooms and functions of the manor to David, Tomoe and Mio led him up to the second floor and arrived at a door that was rather central to the entire manor.

Taking the hint, David opened the door and looked inside.

There was a large wardrobe, a full-length mirror, a large walk-in closet, windows looking out over the entire estate, a door to the large balcony that was above the manor's front door, and a large, luxurious bed that was eerily similar to the one in his penthouse; big, soft, and capable of easily allowing ten people to sleep on it.

The bedroom had the same design as the rest of the manor, though the floor was a red and fluffy carpet rather than the white marble. It also had the lights in the ceiling, but this time he could actually see a light switch on the wall.

David cast a quick cleaning spell on himself as he has been walking barefoot this entire time and jumped on the bed.

"Ahhhh~... This bed is nice."

Tomoe and Mio looked at each other and nodded their heads before jumping on the bed as well and hugging David.

"Heheh~, this is nice, young master~," Mio said as she licked her lips.

"Umu, I could get used to sleeping here every night!" Tomoe agreed.

⟪ It seems I already have their answers. Still, I'll have to wait until tonight as I have a couple more things to do before night falls. Also, I should change the time back to sync up with the outside world. ⟫

David brought up the CMI and went to the setting that adjusted the time difference between dimensions. He slid the slider and set the time difference to be NIL before closing the interface.

"Alright, I'll explore the manor more in the future, but I should take care of some other tasks first. While I'm gone, I want you girls to get ready for tomorrow. We'll be arriving in Tsige to cure some girls who were cursed and then going to look for ambrosia flowers to grow here."

"Ambrosia?" Tomoe asked.

"Do you know where they are?"

David shook his head, "Not exactly, but I have a general idea. The cursed girls come first though."

Mio snuggled up to David like a spoiled child. "Are you going to take those cursed girls as your lovers?"

David was speechless. "No? Why would you think that?"

"Because you said you would take more women in the future and your next stop is curing two girls. It's a fairly logical reasoning, no?"

⟪ Eh, she has a point... ⟫

"Ahem! Anyway, no, they won't be my lovers. I just have to heal them and be on my way. After we get the ambrosia flower, we'll be heading to the Holy Light Kingdom of Limia to fix the hero that was summoned."

Mio and Tomoe made a disgusted look.

"It'll be quick, okay? After I fix the hero, we'll be able to go back to my home world and I'll introduce you all to a ton of entertaining things, okay?"

They just nodded and laid their heads on David's chest.

"Um... As much as I'd like to lay here with you two for days at a time, I do have some things to take care of... I'll be back before it gets dark, okay?"

They both removed their heads and just rested them on the pillows.

"Have fun, young master. We'll be waiting here for you when you get back," Tomoe said with a seductive smile.

Mio just stared at David with hearts in her eyes.

⟪ Yeah, I've definitely gotta hurry. I can barely tear myself away from these two beauties. ⟫

David shook off his thoughts and jumped up from the bed before leaving the manor and searching for Makoto.

Mio and Tomoe looked at each other before getting off the bed and rushing to their own bedrooms to change into something more enchanting for when David returns.

...

After using his Sakai to search the town, David located Makoto talking to some of the Highland Orcs outside of the tower.

"Makoto!" David yelled, waving at Makoto from afar.

Makoto looked over and saw David, then a bright smile appeared on his face.

"David!" He didn't want to ask about it, but Makoto was extremely excited to get a new weapon crafted from David.

He saw the abilities of Tomoe and Mio's weapons and had been looking forward to it since.

David arrived next to Makoto and he greeted everyone around him before excusing himself and Makoto.

"Sorry it took so long to create your weapon. It only took about a day for me, but Tomoe altered the time in the Cradle so you had to wait for months."

Makoto just waved his hand and laughed it off, "Haha, it's fine. Tomoe-san informed everyone here about it beforehand and said she wanted to surprise you when you got back so I wasn't too bothered by it. I just practiced with my magic in the meantime."

David nodded, but felt guilty again for when he wrongly accused Tomoe.

"First, how did it go with Toa when you gave the dagger back to her?"

"Ah. She was very happy and she thanked me, but that's about it."

"Hmm, I see... Well, if sparks between you two aren't meant to fly, it wouldn't help to force it. Still, thank you for giving it back to her, I know it meant a lot. Anyway, you ready for your new weapon?"

Makoto pumped his fist, "Yes!"

David just chuckled and held out his right hand before casting the creation spell for Makoto's weapon.

In David's hand, a sleek silver bracelet appeared with a small red gem inlaid on one of the edges.

Before Makoto could be disappointed, David tossed it to him.

Makoto reached for it, but it avoided his hand and shot into his right arm before melting into it. The bracelet reappeared on his wrist a few seconds later with the red gem faintly glowing.

"This bracelet is an adaptive weapon I created. It's a part of your body now and you can absorb it into yourself if you want to hide it, you just need to think about it. You should be able to feel a connection to the bracelet, right?"

Makoto thought for a second before he widened his eyes and the bracelet disappeared.

"Whoa! That's cool! What else can it do?"

"Haha, just imagine the type of weapon you want and the bracelet will transform into it for you. If you want to use a dagger, it'll be a dagger as sharp as Tomoe's katana with the same exact enchantments hers has."

"If you want it to be a bow, it'll use your mana to passively create arrows with maximum sharpness and piercing power whenever you draw the bow. Any other weapon you can think of, it'll transform into it with special enchantments that brings out their fullest effect."

"Also, the bracelet will automatically absorb your mana and store it inside of itself. It has an infinite capacity so you essentially have a mana battery that never runs out. If you need to quickly create a bhrid with the destructive power of a nuke, you can quickly pull all of the mana out of the bracelet and power the bhrid with it."

"Now, without needing my concealment spell, you can walk around freely without making people piss their pants, haha!"

"If you don't like the bracelet design and want a ring, earring, lip ring, crown, helmet, necklace, choker, boots, gloves, whatever you want--you can have it. If anyone else tries to hold it, it'll teleport back to your arm unless you specifically give permission for others to use it."

"Ah, I should clarify. It can only transform into cold weapons. So blades, hammers, swords, whips, tonfas, things like that. They're also not enchanted with the ability to create beams of light when you slash or anything, but they're great for anyone wanting martial power. Though, you could still mix your own magic with it to create terrifying effects."

David looked down at Makoto with an amused smile on his face as he watched him try to absorb everything he just heard.

"So... Isn't this weapon super dangerous?" Makoto asked after a while.

"Hahaha! It is indeed, but I trust your temperament. Oh yeah, it also has the ability to protect you from mental or soul attacks, that way nobody is able to take control of you. Not even the gods can break the protection I've placed on that thing so you're totally safe."

Makoto didn't know what to say for a few minutes, he just stood there and tried out various transformations with his new weapon.

"What's the name of this weapon?" He finally asked.

David smirked, "Heheh~, its name is 'Armitus'. A mixture of 'arm', 'aegis', and 'mythos'. It's a weapon that's on the level of a myth and it can protect you and those you care about when you need it. If you ever need adjustments made on it, just let me know."

Makoto nodded and showed a very warm, happy smile.

"Thank you, David. You've given me so much since we've met and I feel like I haven't been of any help to you at all."

David just waved his hand, "Bah, don't worry about it. Like I said in the past, I consider you as my friend. I give my all to help my friends, okay?"

⟪ I also steal their future women, but that's fine... Nobody needs to know... ⟫

Makoto nodded and held out his right hand. David grabbed it and shook it firmly.

"I appreciate it, David."

"Alright alright, enough of this sappy shit."

David took out a bottle of strawberry milk from his inventory.

"Here, have a drink on me. I've got one more errand to run before I go back to the manor. If you need me, you know where to look."

Makoto nodded as he took the strawberry milk and watched David's departing back.

[Makoto] 'David's definitely a good friend. I'm lucky to have met the guy.'

Seeing that it wasn't quite dark yet, David spread out his Sakai again and searched for Toa this time.

It didn't take long to find her and her party coming out of the Eastern Forest, looking battered and bruised.

David teleported right behind them and stealthily used his Healing Sakai to quickly heal their injuries.

"Whoa, Hazal! You didn't even have to chant for that!"

"Um, that wasn't me, Ranina."

The party looked at each other in confusion until Toa felt someone watching her, causing her to jerk her head back to see what it was.

"Ah, David-sama!" Toa said, her face becoming red.

David waved at the party. "Hey everyone, sorry about taking Tomoe away earlier. I heard there are dungeons in the Cradle now and you guys are training so you're able to clear one?"

Toa nodded her head shyly, "T-That's right... There are some wild beasts and monsters in the forest that are hostile so we are using them to train and also clearing up any potential dangers."

"I see. I'm sorry, I didn't expect there to be such dangers in my Cradle, but I suppose it makes sense. Do you want me to make it a rule that the monsters and wild beasts can't exist here?"

The group all shook their heads very quickly.

"No no, it's fine! It's good practice and it's pretty fun!" The dwarf, Ranina said.

"I'm glad. If you all ever need my help with something, just let me know in the future," David said with a smile.

He then turned to walk toward his manor, taking this time to enjoy the fresh air and bask in the Cradle's relaxing atmosphere.

⟪ What the hell, why did I even come out here? I mean, sure it's good to check on your residents, but I could've done it later. Is it because I'm attracted to Toa and I know that there's nothing going on between her and Makoto now? ⟫

David shook his head.

⟪ Bah, whatever. I won't disturb her. She has a sister to take care of and even though things are easier in my Cradle than they are in the outside world, I'm sure she still feels a sense of responsibility for Rinon and wouldn't think about relationships. Besides, she probably wouldn't approve of being a member of a harem either, right? After all, I have Marin and now I have Tomoe and Mio. ⟫

⟪ Anyway, I don't even know her that well. For now, she's just a very beautiful woman that I rescued and am letting live in my dimension... Man, the Cradle is really damn peaceful. The air is fresh, the stars are bright, there's no pollution, and I have total control here. If I ever retire, I'll know where to go... Hmm, I wonder how futuristic I could make this place once other dimensions start getting connected? Should be interesting to see! ⟫

David continued walking to his manor, humming to himself and getting lost in his thoughts.

It must be said once again: David is unaware that Toa was added to the Harem Frequency and he just brought Toa's affection level up by quite a bit. Randomly showing up to heal her and check on her, then thinking about her inside his heart while he walked away... These were a bit of a critical hit to someone like Toa.

...

When David arrived back at the manor, he made a beeline to his bedroom.

He took a deep breath and opened the door, revealing a beautiful sight.

Mio was laying on her left side with only a thin pink silk robe covering her body, tapping her fingers seductively on the empty space to her left.

Tomoe was laying on her right side wearing the same pink robe, tapping her fingers on the empty space to her right.

The space between them was big enough for David to lie down in while being enveloped in their beautiful scent.

Mio's hair was missing her signature hairband and Tomoe's hair was similarly missing her signature hair pins, allowing both of their hair to flow freely.

⟪ Fuck, I'm a lucky man. ⟫
