Chapter 52 - Chapter 52

The room had calmed slightly after the chaos surrounding the Chamber of Secrets. The diary lay on the desk innocently. The tension had not left the air—if anything, it was sharpening as minutes passed.

Tony stood near the tall window, sipping from a mug of coffee conjured by Remus. He glanced at Sirius, who sat rigidly in one of the office's armchairs, his hands clenched on the armrests. Amelia was pacing, reviewing the written statement she'd taken down, and Johnny stood silently, his eyes on the floating diary.

He couldn't get the drink however coffee isn't that bad. He wanted to check on Harry however he didn't wanted him to get worry.

The door suddenly creaked open, and Professor McGonagall stepped in, her lips drawn in a thin line. "Arthur and Molly Weasley have arrived."

Tony looked over and Sirius exhaled slowly. "Here comes the hard part"

The door opened wider, and Arthur Weasley stepped through first, his eyes full of concern and worried. Molly Weasley was right behind him, her face pale and taut with worry, her eyes already wet with unshed tears.

"Where is she?" Molly asked immediately, her voice trembling.

"Madam Pomfrey is with her," Amelia said gently, stepping forward. "She's stable. Exhausted, weak—but stable."

Molly clutched Arthur's arm, relief flooding her face for just a moment before it hardened again. "What happened to my daughter?"

"That," said Tony, stepping forward with the kind of professional gravitas that filled press conferences and boardrooms, "is exactly what we need to explain."

Sirius cleared his throat and gestured toward the others. "Johnny Skylar from MASCUS, He's Tony's guide and bodyguard, You already know Amelia and Remus"

Remus gave a polite nod, looking a little unsure under Molly's intense stare.

"We were the ones who found Ginny in the Chamber of Secrets," Sirius continued. "She was being controlled by a dark magical artifact—this diary." He motioned to the dairy at the desk.

Arthur's brow furrowed. "Controlled? By a diary?"

Johnny nodded. "It held a fragment of a dark wizard's soul—essentially a magical parasite. It was feeding off her life force."

"Sweet Merlin," Arthur whispered.

Molly's hand flew to her mouth. "My baby…"

"She was brave," Johnny said firmly. "Strong. The moment we arrived, she tried to fight it—but this wasn't something she could've resisted on her own. We believe it was placed among her things—possibly enchanted to influence the youngest, most vulnerable."

Molly's eyes flared with protective fury. "How did this get into her things? I don't remember that diary in her things...."

"That's something we're investigating," Amelia said, her voice firm. "There's a deeper layer here—one we haven't uncovered yet. But your daughter is not to blame."

Arthur put his arm around Molly as she began to tremble. "We'll make sure she knows that."

"I'd also like to point out," Tony added, "that this wouldn't have gone this far if Hogwarts had even a halfway decent security system."

Sirius snorted. "Tony—"

"No, no, I mean it," Tony held up a hand. "Giant snake running around, kids getting petrified, and no one thought to scan for magical objects influencing the castle? Madness."

Arthur managed a tight smile. "You speak so many logic... And I imagine as you should be..."

"Charming?" Tony offered.

"Loud," Arthur replied kindly.

Molly gave a watery chuckle. "Thank you. All of you. For saving our daughter."

"We'd do it again," Sirius said simply.

"And we may have to," Johnny muttered under his breath.

Amelia spoke "There are other matters we need to address soon—such as the investigation of this diary, and its connection to known dark magic. But for now, I suggest you spend time with Ginny. She'll need her parents."

Arthur and Molly nodded and quietly left the room, their steps quickening with urgency.

When the door closed behind them, a thick silence fell once more.

Tony let out a slow breath. "And now comes part two."

Sirius gave him a sideways glance. "What part is that?"

"The paperwork."

Johnny groaned. "Merlin save us."

Tony chuckle.

———

The fire in the Headmaster's office crackled quietly, casting dancing shadows on the ancient stone walls. It was past midnight, and most of Hogwarts was long asleep, save for the four men sitting in tense silence. The Sword of Gryffindor—blood still faintly etched into its blade—rested against the wall, and in the center of Albus Dumbledore's desk the diary that had nearly taken the life of an eleven-year-old girl.

Tony's gaze was fixed on the diary, his elbows on his knees, fingers laced together, lost in thought. He wore the armour back once it was clean and all, The hum of the Iron Man suit's recharging core could still be faintly heard beneath the armor plates he'd refused to fully disengage. Just in case.

Although there is another matter, Tony still can't believe all of this has happened.

Remus sat beside him in a high-backed chair, nursing tea that had gone cold. Johnny stood, arms crossed, by the door. And Sirius lounged near the fireplace, one leg thrown over the other, smirking into his glass of firewhisky.

"Let me get this straight," Tony finally said, voice low and steady. "I took down a basilisk—a goddamn basilisk—with a sword—"

"Magical..."

Tony waved a hand. "Details. And now you're saying the newspapers are going to crucify or crown me depending on how pure someone's blood is?"

Sirius let out a bark of laughter. "That's the wizarding world for you. Some purebloods will call you a muggle-born messiah. Others will act like you sneezed on their family crest."

Remus shook his head fondly. "You'll be a celebrity by sunrise."

Tony gave a noncommittal shrug. "Wouldn't be the first time. I just wish I wasn't famous for almost dying. Again."

Johnny chuckled under his breath, then added, "There's also the small matter of ownership."

Tony looked up. "Ownership?"

Sirius turned to him, wicked amusement on his face. "You killed it, Stark. The basilisk. Which makes you the legal owner of the corpse."

Tony blinked. "...You're joking."

Dumbledore, who had thus far stayed quiet, watching over the room like a perched hawk, finally spoke. "He's not. By magical law, any beast slain is claimed by the victor. The goblins will want to catalogue and evaluate it. Its parts are... valuable."

"Potions, magical reagents, wand cores in rare cases…" Remus added. "If Snape hears about it, you may find him in your workshop with a scalpel and a love letter."

"I hate all of this," Tony muttered.

Sirius grinned wider. "Well, you've got a claim. And I expect you to contact Gringotts first thing tomorrow. Don't let the Ministry snatch it."

"Let me guess. You'll help me file the paperwork?"

"Nope," Sirius said cheerily, "but I will drink in your honor."

Remus rolled his eyes. "Honestly."

Just then, a familiar hum sounded at the far end of the room—the spiral staircase outside The door opened.

Everyone turned.

Lucius Malfoy entered, regal and imposing, dressed immaculately in black with silver buttons, a serpent-headed cane in one hand. His long blond hair flowed over his shoulders like silk, and his sharp grey eyes scanned the room with thinly veiled contempt.

Trailing behind him was a small, quivering house-elf—Dobby—who clutched the edge of Lucius' cloak in fearful silence.

Tony's posture stiffened slightly, but his face remained unreadable. He saw the elf—and while the others hadn't noticed his reaction, Remus did. He eyes narrowed ever so slightly behind his expression of calm calculation.

Lucius's eyes flicked over everyone in the room, momentarily confused by Tony's presence but choosing to ignore him—for now.

"Headmaster," Lucius drawled, tone oily and forced. "I came as soon as I received the owl. My son informed me of some... concerns regarding the school's safety."

"Ah yes," Dumbledore said smoothly, standing from his seat. "And I presume you've come to ensure the safety of your child... or to control the narrative of your involvement."

Lucius' smile was like the edge of a knife. "I come as a member of the Board of Governors. And as a concerned father."

Sirius snorted under his breath. "Bet you came slithering out of your manor the moment you realized your little diary was missing."

Lucius's eyes snapped to him. "Black," he said, contempt obvious. "Still loose, I see. How quaint."

Sirius raised his glass in mock toast. "And still prettier than you."

Tony stood then, slowly, he now realize this man was the one, The one who plany that diary somehow mix with Ginny's stuff and this guy was a danger to his little brother.

"And you are?" Lucius asked, eyes narrowing at the unfamiliar man in red and gold armour.

Tony extended a hand with a neutral smile. "Tony Stark. Maybe you've heard of me."

Lucius looked at the offered hand like it was coated in mud. "No. Should I have?"

Tony let the hand drop. "Depends on whether you read Forbes or jail records."

Remus coughed to hide his laugh. Sirius grinned outright.

Lucius's gaze finally drifted to the diary on the desk of Dumbledore. "I see you've retrieved something... unfortunate."

"Yes," Dumbledore said calmly. "A dark artifact. One that nearly killed a student."

Lucius's lips twitched. "What a tragedy."

Sirius stood as well, folding his arms. "You know how coincidence it is... The way you staring at the diary... Was it yours, lucy?"

"I'm sure that's a coincidence," Tony said, voice flat.

Lucius turned to glare at him. "You speak boldly for a—"

"A man who killed the basilisk threatening this school?" Tony interrupted. "Yeah. I do."

For a flicker of a second, something in Lucius' face shifted—disdain replaced by discomfort.

"You've no jurisdiction in this school."

"No," Amelia said suddenly from the doorway, stepping in again, robes swirling behind her. "But I do. And I'd love to hear why your magical signature was traced on this diary."

Lucius stiffened. "This is absurd. That artifact has passed through many hands."

"But it started with yours," Amelia said calmly. "And I have witnesses, including your own house-elf."

All eyes turned to Dobby, who squeaked and clutched his ears.

Tony was so relief to shown that video security to Amelia, Although it doesn't seems easy to get this guy confess. Tony is seconds away to take matters into his own hands but he has to be patient.

Lucius straightened his robes. "If you're accusing me, I expect proper representation."

"You'll get it," Amelia said. "And an inquiry will be opened."

Without another word, Lucius turned on his heel and stormed from the room, his cane clicking against the stone.

Dobby lingered for half a second.

Tony bent slightly, making eye contact with the elf.

"Thank you," he said softly.

Dobby blinked, stunned, then disappeared with a loud pop.

The room fell silent again.

Tony looked at the diary, then at the others.

"I want to burn it," he muttered.

"You and me both," Sirius agreed.
