Chapter 48 - 48

48

Having the experience from the previous Trial, I no longer felt that thrill and joy like running away from home. Instead, I felt reluctance and caution. Even with Level 8 Werewolf Transformation, I didn't dare to roam freely in the Blood Moor. The Blood Moor was different from the Evil Cave. In the Cave, I could completely rely on the narrow terrain to wipe out a Camp of hundreds of Fallen. But in the wilderness of the Blood Moor, I couldn't. I would be surrounded instead. At most, I could only rely on the movement Speed granted by Werewolf Transformation to escape. Otherwise, it would be certain death.

About an hour later, estimating that I had left the patrol range of the Rogue Encampment, I Summoned the Poison Creeper. It seemed very happy. As soon as it came out, it burrowed straight into the ground, circling around with a "swish swish" sound. That faint Feeling between us reappeared in my mind.

"Comrade, let's Depart."

I shouted with high spirits. Of course, even if you gave me ten times the Guts, I wouldn't dare to walk forward with such enthusiasm. I still remembered the first time I came out, encountering a Fallen Camp with over a thousand individuals. The scene of everything being wiped out wherever they passed reminded me of the terrifying sight of countless man-eating ant armies on the Plains that I saw on television, covering the sky and earth as they advanced.

My current Experience has reached Level 4, 16890/18000. I should be able to Level Up to Level 5 today.

After walking for over an hour, I avoided a large Fallen Camp. Five wandering Zombies entered my sight. In the Blood Moor, Zombies were my favorite! Not only were they easy to bully, but ever since I reached Level 4, the Experience from the useless Fallen had dropped to 3 points. Only Brother Zombie still supported me so faithfully, honestly contributing 10 points of Experience.

I carefully looked around the Surroundings and didn't find any large groups of Monsters wandering nearby. Good, now I could relax and deal with these Zombies. I pulled out the Wooden Club from my Inventory and walked towards the Zombies with a lewd smile... Sweat...

Soon, as the first Zombie fell under the Offensive of my Wooden Club, the Poison Creeper had already finished off the second one and was entangled with the third. I didn't go over to help, but instead watched the Poison Creeper's Operation method from the side.

"Hmm."

Still not good enough, I shook my head and sighed. It wasn't that the Poison Creeper's combat ability was poor; its Attack was agile and fierce. Even if I controlled it myself, I couldn't do it that well. But it still couldn't understand what Efficiency meant. A Zombie that could be slowly Poisoned to death with just one bite, it insisted on biting again relentlessly until the opponent fell before stopping its Attack. The Poison Creeper's Attack frequency was about once every 3 seconds. Calculating this way, it originally only needed 3 seconds, but it spent 6 seconds. If it weren't for this, by the time I finished off the first Zombie, it would have already taken care of all the remaining 4.

Although I tried communicating with it, it seemed useless. The last time we had that consciousness exchange felt like a fleeting moment.

Forget it, there's plenty of time in the future. I'll train it slowly.

Disappointed, I didn't notice a detail. Before, when the Poison Creeper faced 4 Zombies alone, it would always get scratched by a Zombie, losing a few points of Health. But this time, it was completely unharmed. Of course, even if I had noticed, I would have just thought it was a coincidence...

After the Poison Creeper finished off the fourth Zombie, 0 points of Experience were easily gained. I cleaned up the Battlefield. First, the Zombie I killed myself. Damn, nothing.

Then, the 4 that the Poison Creeper finished off. Uh... honestly, it's a waste of the Poison Creeper's "talent" not to make horror movies. Just seeing the miserable state of the Monsters it killed, turning into a puddle of colorful rotten flesh after death, is enough to make people scream. If it doesn't scare you to death, it can at least nauseate you to death.

I had no interest in touching that disgusting rotten flesh. After a few minutes, when the four puddles of rotten flesh on the ground disappeared, I walked forward.

Hmm, not bad. At the location of the first Zombie the Poison Creeper finished off, there was a shiny yellow Gold Coin lying there.

The second one, nothing. The third one, also nothing. Damn, these two Zombies must have been beggars in their Past Life!

As I disappointedly arrived at the location of the last one, my eyes were suddenly Attracted by a faint green Glow on the ground.

This was an irregularly shaped green Stone, emitting a faint green Glow. However, it was covered in sharp edges, as if it were a fragment left over after being forcefully smashed, greatly diminishing the beauty of this Gem.

But I was still ecstatic. This was a good start, a good omen.

Cracked Emerald:

Weapon: 10 Poison Damage, lasts 3 seconds

Shield: +12% Poison Resistance

Helmet and Clothes: +3 Dexterity

Good stuff! I've seen plenty of them in the Game, but this is the first time I've seen one in this world. It's really beautiful. I looked at this Cracked Gem emitting a soft, light green Glow. Just now I was calling the other two Zombies beggars, and now I was staring at it like a beggar myself. If a Cracked Gem was already this magnificent, I wondered what Degree of dazzling the top-tier Perfect Gem would be!

After examining it for a while, I carefully placed it into my Inventory Space and continued to Depart towards the Cold Plains.

In the evening, after clearing out a Fallen Camp with the size of two Squads, a brilliant Glow finally flashed across my Body. That long-lost warm Feeling of Leveling Up appeared on my Body again.

I opened the attribute panel and took a look. Name: Wu Fan; Level 5; Experience 825000; Life 1; Mana 48; Defense 25;

Strength 15; Dexterity ; Vitality 40; Energy 23 (Others omitted)

The Equipment on my Body included a damaged Hat, Leather Gloves, Wooden Club, Belt, and the most valuable Apprentice Cloak. Unfortunately, all of them were Normal...

For the 5 attribute points after Leveling Up, I put all of them into Strength. With Werewolf Transformation, my Life was sufficient for the current stage. If Danger still occurred, adding these 5 points wouldn't help either. Adding Strength was for future Equipment requirements, and it could also increase some Attack Damage.

As for the Skill Point, I learned Firestorm.
