----------------------------------------------------------

It's Monday.

Inside the Academy student council room, Renz is sprawled out on the sofa.

"As a member of the student council, slacking off isn't a good thing, you know," Kaguya Shinomiya remarks with a chilling smile, diligently poring over the documents in her hands.

Renz rolls over. He's been working his whole life, and now that he's finally back to an age where he doesn't need to work, he's not allowed to be lazy?

"This isn't slacking off," Renz declares righteously. "Firstly, student council work is unpaid. Unpaid work, simply put, is free labor, and such matters depend entirely on one's will."

"If I do work, praise is rightfully deserved. Even if I don't, I shouldn't be criticized."

"That's sophistry," Kaguya Shinomiya states matter-of-factly. "When you join the student council, bear the name of a student council member, and enjoy the benefits of the student council, you must also shoulder the corresponding responsibilities."

"Shinomiya-san, honestly, the student council doesn't really have any benefits, does it?" Miyuki Shirogane muses, after a moment's thought. "Just an extra title in front of other students?"

Kaguya Shinomiya, caught off guard by the retort and about to fire back, realizes Miyuki Shirogane has already changed the subject.

"Speaking of which, I've sorted out the numbers for the Culinary Club," Miyuki Shirogane says, turning his head. "I've gathered five people for you, Renz-kun."

Due to his family's difficult circumstances, Miyuki Shirogane rarely dines out. He mostly buys raw ingredients from grocery stores and cooks for himself. To learn cooking, Miyuki Shirogane frequently reads food magazines and watches television programs.

He watched the latest episode of the God's Tongue evaluation. As a man who holds the "script" of their lives, Miyuki Shirogane felt utterly "executed" while watching that episode. He is the only one who knows that Erina and Renz are a couple. This information gap is crucial. While everyone else assumed Renz was openly expressing his love and devotion to an unseen 'girlfriend,' who could have guessed that the true object of his affection was right beside Renz?

Renz's entire performance, whether intentional or not, was a continuous stream of praise for Erina. Didn't they notice the way Erina looked at Renz from the corner of her eye? Everyone else thought that look was simply the God's Tongue's appreciation—that Erina admired Renz. But Miyuki Shirogane, knowing their relationship, felt that look was not admiration at all, but undisguised affection.

Having a "God's Eye View" has its advantages, but also its drawbacks. That day, sitting in front of the television, he was clearly hungry, yet the rice in his bowl suddenly tasted bland and unappetizing.

However, Miyuki Shirogane also deeply sympathized with Renz's predicament. Yes. The disparity in their social standing is immense. In Japan's rigid social hierarchy, attempting a romance between a commoner and an Erina-sama from a prestigious family first entails facing significant family opposition. Secondly, even if one wished to marry into the family, their capabilities would be scrutinized.

If one's capabilities are insufficient, they wouldn't even qualify for adoption. Their relationship cannot be exposed. Once revealed, Renz would face unprecedented pressure and trials from the Nakiri family. Without sufficient strength, even marrying into the family would be extremely difficult.

Fortunately, he heard that the Nakiri family's patriarch is quite open-minded. If Renz truly has a knack for cooking, marrying into the Nakiri family should not be difficult. However, merely receiving praise from the God's Tongue is likely not enough to meet the standard. To gain the patriarch's favor, he would at least need to achieve a good ranking in the World Culinary Invitational. Beyond such invitationals, within the points-based ranking of master chefs, to marry into the Nakiri family, one would need to reach at least a top ten world ranking.

However, the only way to earn points in the master chef ranking system is by participating in various levels of competitions and achieving high rankings. The most famous is The-Blue Global Cooking Competition, a world championship inviting the planet's top chefs. Achieving good results there can almost become an external benchmark. By the points system, a first-place finish in The-Blue Global Cooking Competition awards approximately 1000 world ranking points. The current world number one, a master chef named Joichiro Saiba, has 1139 points, though his score steadily decreases by 50 points each month due to a lack of recent competition records. The second-ranked chef's points are very close to Saiba's, who rarely competes now.

But just thinking about it makes it seem incredibly difficult. Even with the God's Tongue's praise, competitions are not easy to handle. They test not only the quality of a single dish but almost every aspect of a chef's skills. High demands are placed on a chef's various techniques and proficiency. It's not as simple as just making one bowl of ramen to win everything. Renz will need to find a way to defeat chefs from all over the world to have a chance at marrying Erina, and this is just the standard for adoption into the family.

He'll help as much as he can, Miyuki Shirogane sighs inwardly.

"You found five people?" Renz is surprised that Miyuki Shirogane truly managed to assemble a Culinary Club for him.

"Yes, Meiko Shiraki, the Vice President of the Disciplinary Committee next door, Chika Fujiwara, our student council secretary, first-year Masuzu Natsukawa, and then myself, that makes five," Miyuki Shirogane scratches his head, saying it's not much help. He prioritized finding people from the student council.

Kaguya Shinomiya is in the Archery Club and has no desire to switch. So, that's out. Chika Fujiwara said she didn't mind being listed, as long as she could play cards and eat delicious food in the Culinary Club, she'd definitely accept. Meiko Shiraki was also found within the student council, and apparently... she seems to be genuinely skilled in cooking, a true enthusiast. As for Masuzu Natsukawa, she was "picked up from the side of the road," having proactively inquired.

"Wait a minute, why are they all women?" Renz's head throbs. Miyuki Shirogane helped him, but as soon as Renz heard the names, he knew something was wrong.

"This was originally an all-girls school, wasn't it? Besides the girls, there are no boys to be found. They're still in the 'punishment' phase, right?" Miyuki Shirogane refers to the group of perverts caught peeking, who are still serving their punishment. It's also normal for more girls to be interested in the Culinary Club. Why is he so sensitive about this? Renz knows Miyuki Shirogane's explanation is reasonable, but the problem is that the troublesome [Life Simulator] isn't reasonable at all. It's just a tool. It doesn't consider people's feelings. If it forced him, Renz would break down.

At that point, he'd just have to pretend to be dead in the Culinary Club.

The school bell signaling the end of classes rings in the hallway. Miyuki Shirogane turns to look at the clock on the wall.

"It's time. I have to go to my part-time job. I'll be taking my leave now," Miyuki Shirogane gathers his things from the desk and walks out of the student council office.

Renz looks at the time. He slightly freezes.

Oh-ho.

Damn it!

How long have I been in the student council?

Renz's listed business hours were to start at 3:50 PM. It's now 4:55 PM. This means, after getting a good review from the God's Tongue evaluation, he's just "stood up" the general public for over an hour.

Renz turns and sprints out of the student council office. After a few steps, he has a change of heart. He's already stood them up for over an hour, so those customers won't mind if he's a little later.

There's no need to rush, then.

What if he rushes too much and gets into a car accident on the way?

As the two leave one after another, Kaguya Shinomiya can no longer hide her emotions with calmness. She's exasperated. It's outrageous! Those two completely ignored her presence! They left all the work to her. How despicable!

At the same time, in front of Renz's restaurant, a middle-aged man raises his right hand, inadvertently revealing the Rolex on his wrist. He's been waiting here for over an hour. Yet, the restaurant owner still hasn't opened the shop. Azami Nakiri feels like flipping the entire restaurant over.

What in the world is going on? Don't chefs nowadays care about money? The period after the God's Tongue evaluation is a prime time for customer growth, with many patrons flocking to the establishment. Not opening the shop now is simply squandering his newfound popularity. How much money is he losing at this very moment?

Beside Azami Nakiri, a group of people are also standing foolishly. They initially waited, intending to enter and eat noodles once Renz opened. But the wait has been too long, and they're growing impatient. However, seeing the man in the black suit, who has been standing motionless for over an hour, maintaining such an intense desire for the food, makes them wonder if this restaurant's ramen is truly that delicious. This sight has unknowingly extended their patience.

But...

Where is the person?

Where's the restaurant owner?

Why hasn't the shop opened yet?

Are the business hours posted on the storefront fake?
