Katia's Pov:
He noticed me and turned to look at me and our eyes met.
He quickly wiped his face and of course, looked surprised seeing me there
"Who are you?" He asked huskily.
"What do you want?"
I turned and looked behind me. Sophia didn't come in with me.
"I'm talking to you" he said again, making me turn back to him.
"Um...I'm...I'm just here to see the lady" I replied not sure if taking to him was the right thing to do.
"I was there with her the night she died. She..."
"You were there?" He snapped in a scary way, making me freeze.
"What happened to her? Tell me everything about it!"
Gosh! He looked bad-tempered.
"I didn't do anything to her, okay? I was just...I was by the roadside, waiting for a car when she ran and bumped into me then she fell right into my hands and before I could get help she…she…."
I paused, recalling what had happened.
"Please, who's she to you? Are you her family?" I asked instead and he glared at me menacingly, I felt a chill down my spine.
"Why do you care?!" He said.
"Because it seems she was pregnant and something strange happened and I don't know if you are the right person to talk to because I also need answers".
As soon as I said that, he snapped at me and the look in his eyes...
It was strange.
"What?", he asked sharply.
"Wh...What did you just say? Yes she really was pregnant…come to think of it what happened to my baby?I can't feel him"He asked and I gulped nervously.
"That night...she held my wrist and made some kind enchantment. And the next morning, I started having pregnancy symptoms. Just a while ago, my mother threw me out of the house cause I was confirmed pregnant by the doctor. And the funny part is, I'm still a virgin do I feel like she transferred her child into me" I explained and took in a deep breath when I was done, I had no idea what his reaction will be he might think I'm crazy too.
He scoffed, astonishment gleaming in his eyes, as he looked at the lady.
He gently placed his hands on her stomach and muttered something under his breath,the scene was both intimate and sad.
"Now, I understand" he said with a nod.
"She transferred my baby to you for protection".
I felt my heart leap.
"Y...Your baby?" I asked in shock.
Oh my God!
"Yes - Tamzin was pregnant for me. And I came all the way to look for her. I never could be dead and certainly had no idea she transferred the baby to you. She made you the second mother of my unborn child".

Katia's Pov continues
I felt so nervous as I sat next to him in the car, headed home. Sophia was at the backseat, watching curiously.
I was able to convince him to come home with me so he could explain everything to mum and make her believe I was telling the truth - that I never had s*x and was still a virgin.
During the brief time in the car, he explained a little of the story to me. He told me he was a prince in Egypt and the dead lady - Tamzin - was his lover. But she committed a crime and came down here to America with his baby and that's the reason he came to look for her. And on reaching here - he finds a whole different story.
My head was aching a lot. I really couldn't believe I was pregnant -pregnant for a stranger; a prince from Egypt.
Gosh!
What do I even know about motherhood? This wasn't how I planned my life - getting pregnant at such a young age with someone else's baby.
Gosh! What's gonna happen now?
After a while, we arrived at my apartment after giving directions to the driver and I exhaled deeply and stepped out of the car with Sophia and the prince - he said he's name was Hank.
Oh mum! I hope she believes me this time around. I really can't have her staying mad at me and thinking I disappointed her.
We walked closer to the door and I knocked.
"Mum?" I called but there was no reply and slowly, I pushed door open and there she sat quietly.
Thank goodness she's okay.
I looked at Sophia and the prince and they followed me in as well
Mum stood up the moment she saw us. Gosh! Her eyes were so red. Obviously, she's been crying.
"Mum..." I called.
"What are you doing here?" She asked, looking at the prince.
"Oh! Is he the father of the child? Have you finally seen him? Huh? I thought you said you were still a virgin?"
"I'm not lying to you, mum..."
"She's carrying my child" the prince chipped in.
"But I never had s*x with her".
Mum shot him a scary look. She must be thinking this was one of my jokes.
"So...did your sperm fly into her womb or what?" She asked.
"Its magic. My girlfriend - Tamzin - was pregnant for me. She's the same lady your daughter had an encounter - the one who ended up dead.
"She knew she was going to die and to protect the baby, she passed it on to your daughter and that's why your daughter's pregnant." he explained and mum kept mute.
Then, she chuckled.
"Is this some kind of joke or what?" She asked.
"Are you trying to defend yourself for sleeping with my daughter?"
"He's not, mum" I said ruefully.
"Please you need to believe this. Its the truth. I swear with my life, mum. I'll never lie to you. I'm still a virgin and this baby was passed on to me through magic. Please believe me".
She gave me a long stare and backed us.
"So, you're trying to tell me...my daughter's carrying somebody else's child?" She asked without looking at us.
"Yes - and she'll need to come with me to Egypt" the prince said and I flinched.
"What? What're you talking about?" I demanded, hoping it was a joke.
"I can't leave you down here with my baby. And I also can't stay down here with you cause I'm a prince and have obligations. So, I need to take you with me" he replied.
"What?? That's...totally insane. I mean, you can't just come out of nowhere and try to take me with you. First, your girlfriend made me pregnant and now, you want to take me away with you to a strange place. I simply..."
"Katia Bridge!" Mum called and I turned to look at her.
"Come with me" she added and started walking away and I gulped nervously and followed her behind.
She took me to my room and I shut the door as we entered.
"Mum..."
"If you're really telling me the truth" she cut me off.
"If really this baby isn't yours, then I want you to go with him. Follow him to Egypt and once you've put to bed, you come Back home" she said, making making me sick.
"Mum?" I scoffed.
"What are you saying?"
"You heard me clearly Kat. Go with him and give them their child and when you're done, you come home and continue your life as a normal teenage girl. I really can't stay here and watch you raise another woman's child".
"So, you're just gonna send me away? Send me away like I mean nothing to you for the years we've been together?"
She sighed and backed me.
"Please mum, don't push me away" I cried.
"Well, do you expect me to do?" She snapped back at me.
"This isn't my grandchild. So, what do you want me to do? Accept someone else's baby?
"Please, stop making this any more difficult for me. Pack your things and go with him. And as soon you've given birth, I'll be waiting for you here at home".
She wiped the tear that strolled down her cheek and left.

I wept as I stood in front of the mirror, my hands on my tummy
Oh God! I can't believe I'm doing this. I can't believe this is really happening. I'm leaving for Egypt.
I gave my tummy a light squeeze.
Just a while ago, everything was fine. I was fine and had my future well planned out. But within the twinkle of an eye, everything changed. All my plans were shattered.
How do I cope with this? How do I carry someone else's child in my womb?
And according to mum, will I really come home after giving birth? What will happen after then?
Oh God!
I heard a knock on the door and I sniffed and lifted my head.
"Come in" I said.
The door opened and it was Sophia. I wiped my face immediately.
She came to me quietly and stood beside me in front of the mirror.
"It's crazy, right?!"she said
"This whole thing - its weird. Getting to know you're about to become a mother when you've never even had s*x"
She paused and laughed.
"I'm really sorry Kat; sorry things had to turn out this way for you. But perhaps, the right thing to do was to embrace it. Don't you think?"
I just sniffed and didn't say a word. Then, she pulled me in a hug.
"Don't worry, everything will be fine." She cooed and I wept on her shoulders.
After a while, we disengaged from the hug.
"Sophia" I called gently.
"I'm so sorry for accusing you for what happened the other night. I...I don't even know what I was thinking..."
"Hey, its okay" she cut me off calmly.
"I perfectly understand, Kat.
"Um...the prince is waiting". She said and I could feel my heart racing
"He...doesn't want you to take any bag with you. He said everything you need will be provided over there for you" she said and I nodded and dried my eyes.
I'm pregnant for a prince,?
"Come on" Sophia held my hand and I followed her out of the room.
We got out to the sitting room where I met him and mum together.
"Are you ready?" The prince asked and I nodded.
"Good. Let's go. We're running late" he said and left the room.
I looked at mum as she tried avoiding my gaze and more tears poured from my eyes.
Then, I turned towards the door and started walking out and just when I had gotten to the exit, I heard her call.
"Katia".
I weakly turned to look at her and she came to me and embraced me.
She hugged me tight for a while before letting me go.
"I'm so sorry this had to happen. But I want you to know that I love you, okay?" She said tearfully but I didn't say a word
I stared at her for a while and turned towards the door.
"I hope this makes you happy" I told her and left the house.
I met him in the jeep and sat beside him, I was in so much pain,I felt betrayed.
"Thanks for agreeing to come with me" he said coldly and all I did was sniff and immediately, the driver started the car and took off.
Oh, God! I'm going to Egypt; having no idea what awaits me there.
