Katia's Pov:
This marked my first day to be in a jet or an airplane.
Wow! It made me feel so nervous, but my present condition wouldn't let me admire it for long.
Prince Hank and I arrived at the airport where two cars were already waiting for him. Gosh! I felt so strange walking beside him. I mean, he was royalty and me..?
All the people around bowed in obeisance and tried avoiding his gaze and thank goodness, we got into one of the cars.
I kept staring through the window, amazed at the beautiful buildings,everything was beautiful.
Wow! Egypt was damn beautiful; I've never imagined such sight before.
The prince didn't say anything but kept going through his phone not sparing me a glance,it felt awkward.
After a very long ride, we got to a mansion. No; not just a mansion...But a paradise.
Sweet heavens!!!
Oh my God!!
Heavenly God!!
Was this for real? Was this the palace?
I opened my eyes wide as our car rode into the gigantic palace and all the guards and maids rushed out and stood on a straight line.
Wow!
The car parked in the garage and the doors were opened for us by the guards.
I felt a bit scared stepping out of the car. I mean, I was in such a strange and powerful place.
The prince stepped down and that was when I had the nerves to do same.
I came out of the car, slowly, and looked around. The maids and guards seemed really surprised seeing me there.
"Come on" he stood stood beside me and said and we started walking into the midst of the guards and maids.
As soon as we got closer to them, the maids bowed their heads while the guards went on one knee. Holly Molly!
"Welcome home, prince" the maids beamed and the guards did same as we walked pass them.
I felt so nervous. This place was too beautiful. Like...I've never seen a building such as this before.
The gate was made of gold, the ground was german-floored, there was a water fall at the entrance, the garage was filled to the brim with different cars. Like...I couldn't even list them all. It seemed just like heaven.
"Hank!" A lady came walking towards us.
She looked pretty and adorned and had two maids behind her.
The prince stopped walking and looked surprised.
"Lulu?" He called and I also stopped walking.
Well, he was the one I knew around here. So, I had to stay close to him.
The Lulu girl smiled as she got to where he was and embraced him.
Woah!
"I've missed you." She smiledÂ
"Don't tell me you're not happy to see me".
"Of...Of course, I am. I'm just...well, I'm surprised. I wasn't expecting to see you anytime soon" Hank replied.
I noticed he felt a little uncomfortable. Who was she to him?
"Oh! Well, I just decided to pay you a surprise visit. I actually arrived very early this morning. And...your mother told me you took a flight to America to look for..Tamzin" she said and diverted her eyes to me.
"Hm. Who's she? And...didn't you see Tamzin?" She asked, still looking at me.
Gosh! She was making me so nervous. I feel so awkward in the midst of all these people.
"It's a long story, Lulu. Are my parents inside?" Hank asked.
"Oh, yes! Perfect timing. Come with me" she held his hand and started walking with him, while I followed, naively.
There were pretty flowers planted around the corridors as we walked along and got to what seemed like the royal hall.
There were two guards on post and they bowed and opened the royal door as soon as the prince got there.
Wow! Indeed, it was the throne room.
I saw a man on the throne and a pretty woman standing before him. And they all turned to look at us.
"Son!!" The woman exclaimed and scurried to us.
Oh! His mother!
She smiled happily as she got to where he was and pulled him in a hug.
" You're home! I missed you, love" she said with so much relief and happiness
"Mother, I've been gone for just a few hours..."
"Yes, but it seems like forever to me, son" she giggled and looked at me.
"Good evening, dad" Hanj greeted with his head bowed.
"Hank" the king called
"Finally, you came back. I was thinking your woman wouldn't let you come home".
"Hold on; where's Tamzin Didn't you find her? And who's she?" The queen asked looking at me.
Am I supposed to greet?
"Uh...Good evening my queen,Good evening king" I said with a bow.
"Who's she?" The king asked, making me nervous.
Then, Hank gently pulled me towards the throne.
"Father, mother" he called.
"Tamzin is dead".
"What?" The queen asked in shock.
"Yes - unfortunately. But before she did, she transferred the baby to Katia over here so she's pregnant with my child"
The room fell into an uncomfortable silenceÂ
"You mean...she's carrying Tamzin's child?" The queen asked and even before Hank could say a word, the king chipped in.
"How on earth did it happen? Who's she to Hathor?" He asked.
"She's no one, dad. They just bumped into each other and she had no idea that Hathor transfered the baby to her.
"It wasn't easy but through luck, I was able to find her. And she agreed to come stay with me till delivery" he explained and the king stared with dissatisfaction.
Suddenly, the queen started coming towards me and I flinched.
What's she coming to do?
She kept her eyes fixed on me as she walked and stood in front of me. And unexpectedly, she placed her hand on my tummy and she gasped
"Its true! She's really pregnant!" She continued with a disapproving look and quickly replaced it with a smile.
Wow! I...guess I wasn't expecting this.
"You look so pretty, dear. Your name is Katia, right?" She asked.
"Yes" I said with a lowered gaze and she just laughed.
"This is awesome. You're in time for the party. Come Hank. Why don't you take her to her room so she could rest before the party commences?"
Huh? What party?
"Okay, mother" Hank replied and signalled me to come along.
But the king...he didn't say any other word but just kept staring at me.
Oh!! It made me really nervous.
I clasped my hands together as I started following Zosar out of the room and on our way out, my eyes ran into the pretty Lulu who had been quiet the whole time.
She seemed to have a a loathful look, but as soon as our eyes met, she covered it up with a smile.
"Welcome to the palace, Katia" I heard her whisper as I walked past her.
