"Okay...I'm Kain Umbrosia," spoke Kain as he shook his head.
He guessed that this dragon's knowledge was vast and profound.
Eren and Kain had researched about all kinds of ancient folklores and myths. There, he found out about Dragons along with Vampires.
He truly found it fascinating. How in many places, Dragons were supposed to stand at the epitome of all existences, having a profound amount of knowledge. They are said to be the most knowledgeable beings in the universe.
"Hahaha. You gave up pretty quickly, didn't you?" laughed the dragon.
"What was even the point to lie to a mighty exist like you, lady dragon," said Kain as he bowed in a noble manner.
"That's true, haha, true, true. Anyways, you are quite funny so I will not bother asking you how you came here..." spoke the dragon.
"I am Glacis von Everfrost, I am a noble dragon from the prestigious Everfrost Family of dragons, and also the only dragon in this world. Roarrr!" she spoke as she stood up, opening her beautiful wings and roaring.
Kain quickly ran over to a rock nearby and held it.
Soon,
*woooosh*
High amounts of wind of great intensity assaulted him,
after the assault, Kain quickly got up and wiped his face with a handkerchief again.
He was wearing an armor that didn't quite suit the noble name of a vampire, instead a rogue adventurer.
"Why does this saliva always come over my face," he complained.
"Haha, you were pretty resilient enough to be able to withstand this mighty one's roar! Hahaha," Glacis arrogantly declared.
"Miss dragon, since you probably know that I'm an otherworlder, would you please mind telling me about this world?" Kain asked.
He knew that he was pretty lucky with getting into contact with a mighty dragon, many who might've come into this world before might not have even heard of her.
And him? He was standing face to face to her! She was a big boon opportunity for him!
If he used her well, he might be able to extort many resources.
'Hehehe,' he mischievously laughed in his head.
"Oh? So you admit you are an otherworlder? Hahaha," Glacis spoke in an amused tone.
"I'm sure that a great one like you must've already known that I was an otherworlder. And if I am not wrong... You need my help, do you not?" spoke Kain.
He had guessed it already.
Getting chanced with a dragon, being saved by her, and even talking with her as if they were best friends. This must be something which was not a coincidence.
It was all staged.
The dragon's face turned solemn, it stared at Kain for a few minutes.
Droplets of sweat started to slowly fall over his head.
'Did I make a wrong guess?' he thought.
"Before that, let me tell you about this world, vampire," the dragon spoke as it started to slowly walk out of the cave.
"This is the world of Eldoria, this world used to be a truly beautiful world," it said as it spoke.
"There used to be huge grasslands, big beautiful mountains, warm oceans, majestic kingdoms. Magic was prevalent in this world, Fire Magic, Earth magic, Dark magic, and many more kinds. The people were happy, they lived peacefully...until that day..."
"One day, when everyone was going on with their lives, The Ice descended, the whole world was covered into a huge blizzard of ice, since then, no matter what someone does, the atmosphere remained the same."
"Due to the essence of Ice Mana prevalent in the atmosphere, ice mages were becoming very common. The world started to adapt towards ice magic."
The dragon spoke.
"Now, the situation is so bad, that there is barely any fire magician left in the kingdoms. People are struggling with the cold."
"You must have seen the Beautiful Crystal Palace, right?" the dragon questioned as it looked at Kain.
"Yes I did, it was truly beautiful," Kain spoke as he imagined the image of the palace in his head again.
"Haha, yes it is indeed, that palace is called The Arcane Citadel. That palace is very special," the dragon spoke with a calm face.
"Special? How?" Kain decided to extract as much information as possible. After all, he didn't receive his quest yet.
"That palace can change its look as per the surroundings. If it is sunny, the palace's color would change as well, complimenting the sunlight, the same is for winter season."
The dragon paused for a few seconds, then continued,
"But that is not what's truly special about it. What's truly special is that, that place is a grave, a grave of something which you might need," the dragon spoke mysteriously.
"Something which I might need?" Kain repeated with a contemplating face.
Before Kain could even make out of what thing it was,
the dragon's hand suddenly moved as it tore off the beautiful crystal that was attached over its head.
"Take this, you would need it. Cough," the dragon spoke as it coughed out some blood.
"What? Why did you tear it off! Do you need it?!" Kain retorted in a worried tone, but the dragon still put it safely in his hands. He did not know what that crystal was, but he was sure that it must be something important.
"Haha, cough. Do not worry, you can just return it to me when you finish the task I gave you. Now go!" the dragon spoke as it held Kain by his waist.
Then...
*wooosh*
It threw Kain over a very far distance.
As Kain was flying over to an unknown direction, he screamed.
"You damn lizard! Why am I in the air again?!" he shouted in an angry tone.
Soon,
he arrived in a location,
as soon as he was about to fall over to the ground, some sort of magic broke his fall as he slowly landed on the ground,
"Huh? It must be the work of that old lizard," he spoke as he harrumphed.
At this rate, it would not be long before Kain might become a tsundere.
Anyways,
Kain stood up as he dusted off his pants again.
This time he looked very carefully.
"Wow! Beautiful! There's..."
"Practically nothing!" spoke Kain as he looked around again.
There was only one thing all around him. Desert, a desert of powders of snow all around, everywhere.
Where did so much snow get collected from anyway?
[System: Welcome to the World of Eldoria!]
[Trial: Floor #1]
[Trial Mission: Revert this world back to its original state.]
[Time Limit: 5 Years]
[Penalty: Death.]
"Wait, 5 years of time limit?! Isn't that too long?! Is the mission supposed to be that hard?" Kain spoke as he contemplated.
'This must be it, this must be the reason that the celestial said that we would be spending a huge amount of time of our lives in these towers...so scary.'
Imagine being trapped into a world for many years, only to be sent into another world for a longer time? And repeat and repeat, going on?
This would break people's motivation and minds! Too creepy!
That's why humanity was unable to go above the 15th floor! It just took so damn long!
'I need to find a way...I cannot go around wasting time like that, after all...'
An image flashed over Kain's mind as his face turned solemn and cold once again.
'I am going to destroy whoever decided to make these damn towers!!' he declared in his mind.
And then, he started travelling.
Since vampires had a strong body, they were able to easily withstand the low temperature in the atmosphere.
After a few days,
Kain was still currently travelling,
His blood points had started to fall alarmingly, currently standing at 20 BP.
If Kain were to fall below 5 BP, he would turn into a blood sucker, which Kain wasn't a fan of.
The blood points were the amount of blood a vampire could use, they were used for blood magic and can also be used to drink blood.
He had bought some blood sacks online the other day and was able to survive using them.
But now, the final blood pack was over as he was again at a 100 BP.
If he was unable to find someone or a source to suck off from, he would truly turn into a blood sucker within 3 days.
As Kain was currently walking through the weak snow blizzard, suddenly...
He saw something.
And then he saw it again.
It was a light. A light of a torch.
Kain decided to sprint over in that direction.
"Hey! Anyone there! Wait for me! I'm lost!" shouted Kain as he dashed through the snowy plains.
After a few seconds, he heard a voice,
"Hey! Hey man! You over there! Come over fast!" spoke the silhouette of a man.
Kain dashed through the snow as he jumped over the carriage.
"Huff. Huff. Thank you dude... huff. huff. If not for you, I might've been carved into an ice statue by today haha..." spoke Kain as he looked over in the direction of the man.
The man looked slightly older than him, had black hair and black eyes as well.
"Do not worry. You were lucky enough to find my carriage, or you would've truly died," spoke the man.
"I'm Kain," spoke Kain as he extended his hand.
"I'm Mark, so tell me. Where do you plan to go? And hell dude you are a pale ass, you are the palest dude I ever saw haha..." spoke Mark as he patted Kain's shoulders, a little less gently.
"Ouch... haha. I plan to go to The Arcane Citadel, will you take me there?" asked Kain as he looked outside.
Hearing the name of The Arcane Citadel, Mark's face turned solemn.
He then spoke...
