Chapter 6 - Crocks?

Sunlight leaked through the dusty blinds as Sebastian blinked awake, hair tousled and face pillow-creased.

He stretched like a smug cat, then yawned. "Ah yes. Another beautiful day to be an underage menace."

After a quick shower and a stolen bagel from the motel's very sad continental breakfast, he wandered outside for a casual morning stroll. It wasn't long before a familiar itch crept into his spine-need for chaos.

"Time to introduce myself to the local wildlife," he muttered, eyes gleaming behind a dollar- store mask he'd picked up from a convenience store.

Somewhere in the woods…

Jacob's pack was out on patrol when the rustling began.

Then, like a glitch in reality, a figure zipped past them.

Sebastian landed in front of them very dramatically, arms wide.

"I am chaos. I am the glitch in your spreadsheet. I am Batman… if he overslept, wore crocs, and fought crime with a Nerf gun."

They blinked. Sebastian just stood there, swaying sightly.

One of the younger shapeshifters raised an eyebrow. "Dude, are you okay?"

Sebastian grinned under the mask. "Nope."

Then, he pointed a finger. A vector twisted, and suddenly, one of them began spinning like a supernatural Beyblade,

"LET IT RIP!" Sebastian shouted gleefully.

After five rounds of supernatural slapstick, Sebastian leaned against a tree, arms crossed, watching the chaos with a satisfied smirk.

"Ah, nature."

By late afternoon, the pack returned with their metaphorical tails between their legs and their dignity somewhere back in the bushes. Jacob led the group into the council house, muddy, bruised, and utterly bewildered.

Billy black looked up from his spot by the fire. "So… you found the threat?"

"Define 'found'," Jacob muttered.

Embry rubbed his forehead. "He was fast. Not vampire fast, like… directionless chaos in a hoodie."

Leah crossed her arms. "He threw pebbles at us. PEBBLES."

"With force!" Quil added quickly.

Jacob nodded. "It was like the air bent around him. Like he could tell physics to go screw itself."

Billy frowned. "What did he want?"

The room went silent.

Then Jacob sighed. "I think… he just wanted to mess with us. He said he was Batman. With like crocs."

Billy stared. "... You got bullied by bargain bin Batman."

Leah grumbled, "He made me dizzy for five minutes."

Jacob scratched his head. "We should keep watch. This guy's not human. He might not be a threat, but he isn't harmless either."

Billy slowly nodded. "We'll inform the elders. If this guy starts affecting the balance, we may have to intervene. But for now.. stay alert. And maybe avoid open clearings."

…Cullen house…

Alice had been practically vibrating for the last hour.

She'd seen flashes, glimpses of chaos unfolding like a derailed sitcom.

A pebble ricocheting into a werewolf's mouth. A vector arc knocking a charging wolf into a tree. Sebastian reenacting Mission: Impossible in a forest with pine needles in his hair.

She gasped again, gripping the armrest of her chair. "Oh my gosh, he's adorable."

Rosalie raised an eyebrow. "Adorable? Didn't he just spin a 300-pound werewolf like a top?"

"Yes!" Alice beamed. "Isn't he perfect?"

Edward groaned. "You haven't even met him."

"Yet." Alice corrected.

Carlisle leaned forward. "What exactly are you seeing, Alice?"

Alice's gaze drifted off again, caught in a rush of future snapshots.

Sebastian balancing on one foot while singing into a baguette. Sebastian redirecting a water hose stream mid air to hit someone else. Sebastian in the cafeteria surrounded by stunned students, holding a milk carton like it was an ancient relic.

She let out a dreamy sigh. "He's unpredictable. Wild. But there's purpose to it. His mind moves in vectors. Every move connects to the next like mathematical chaos. It's brilliant. He's like… if entropy had a hoodie and sarcasm issues."

Jasper blinked. "Is that supposed to be a compliment?"

"The best kind."

Emmett clapped once. "I wanna meet this dude."

Edward buried his face in his hands. "God help us all."

Alice stood, her hands clenched in excitement. "He's going to school next week. I saw him edit the system. He even used a vector pathway to hack a motel 6 room into permanent vacancy status. He's… genius."

Carlisle looked thoughtful. "We'll keep an eye on him. But be careful, Alice. If he really is your mate, this will change everything."

Alice just smiled, eyes practically glowing.

"Good."
