Ty walked into the office unannounced and stopped in his tracks. "I'm sorry, grandfather. Did I disturb something? I'll leave."
"No, Ty, you didn't disturb anything. Me and your uncle were having a heart-to-heart talk."
Ty's mouth fell open—he didn't know what to say. "My uncle?"
"Yes, Ty, I said your uncle. Tim is your uncle; he is your father's adopted brother. Nobody knows this yet but you. You walked in unannounced and kind of got a heads up, so if you will keep this quiet, we're going to have a dinner and announce it to everyone."
"Father, instead of the dinner party, can we have an outdoor cookout and invite the entire ranch to attend?" Ty suggested. "I know it would be a little more expensive for sure, but I'm not all about pomp and prestige. That might be for other people, but you know me—I'm just one of the guys out here. So what if I'm your son? I'm still one of the guys of the Z1."
