Rodney was getting along okay with everyone else in the household. Martin had even warmed up to Hans's most recent stray that he brought back with him. The only thing Rodney was worried about was who was going to take the virus out of his stomach. He knew his time was getting close, but there were no people from the white rooms to help him.
Lex had gone over everything with Rodney, but mentally he was just too immature to deal with the fact he was not carrying a virus—he was in fact carrying a child that would soon be here. 3D scans, heartbeat monitors—nothing convinced Rodney that there was a child within him. Lex was really concerned that if he went into labor and started delivery, he might very well snap or even freak out during the birthing process. This could be dangerous for him and the child that he carried.
