Elijah was surrounded by the darkness, smell of blood was overwhelming.
What's happening here, I need to act.
Elijah got out of the bed and made his way towards the corner of room, the ground felt warm and slippery. Elijah had an ominous feeling but kept moving, reaching out his hand he started looking for something among his belongings.
Found it
He held a small knife, sheathed in leather. Elijah quickly took out the knife from its sheath.
The blade of the knife was glowing with bright yellow light, making the room visible once again.
Elijah observed his surroundings with the light, everything seemed normal. Except the unusual darkness, he observed the magic lamps in his room, they were present but not working.
Elijah moved his sight towards the ground, the warm slippery ground was giving him goosebumps and he was avoiding it instinctively.
The floor was damp as if oil was spilled all over, dull crimson blood was all over the floor.
Elijah moved towards the entrance of his tent, his thoughts seemingly empty. All he could think now was to get away from all this blood, his bare feet were covered in blood.
Just as he was about to walk out, the flap of the tent opened and someone entered.
Elijah panicked, he held his knife with both hands in front of him as he lunged forward to attack on instinct.
His movement was incredibly fast and well coordinated, but the knife stopped just before reaching his target.
"Young master, it's me Sebastian. You don't need to worry." Sebastian said as he blocked Elijah's knife with his left arm. The knife was stopped as if it was made of clay, and Sebastian was unharmed.
"What's going on here?, why is there so much blood in my tent and why is there no lights?" Elijah asked, his voice filled with anxiety and panic.
He was slowly calming his nerves after seeing Sebastian.
It seems nothing major has happened yet.
Elijah's instincts were telling him that something ominous was about to happen. However, he felt a bit of relief after observing Sebastian's calm demeanour.
"It's Blood Arts, someone has casted a wide area spell here. But," there was some hesitation in Sebastian's voice as he continued, "no human could cast such powerful spell, we might be dealing with a Dhampir or worst a Vampire."
What the heck, why would a Vampire appear all of a sudden. I thought they were not common in this world. All I know is that they are one of the most mysterious and non social beings, even in this world.
" Why would a Dhampir or Vampire, appear here, all of a sudden. I never heard of any in surrounding areas." Elijah asked while moving towards his belongings and wearing the crimson cape.
"It's a troubling situation. I can't say for sure, but it might be after you, young master." Sebastian answered.
"After me ?" Elijah's face became pale.
"Fenice blood holds great power, I'm not sure, but it's the only possible reason I could think of."
What the hell! It's too much. Even my blood makes me a target. This is messed up, it's the only special thing that I have in this world.
I knew it was too good for me. I need to get stronger and soon.
Elijah calmed himself, he sat on a chair and started wiping off the blood on his feet to wear his shoes.
Sebastian casted a spell which cleaned off the blood, wearing his shoes, Elijah took his sword and got out of the blood filled tent.
A small crimson moon was shining in the sky, whole area around the camp was covered with dull crimson blood.
It was an eerie sight, bloody smell was overwhelming.
The knights and soldiers were gathered at the front of Elijah's tent. Servants holed up inside their tents.
Conan was giving commands to the soldiers, after seeing Elijah, he briefed him about the situation.
" We can't locate anyone in the vicinity, it seems like we are facing a lone enemy. But, they have hidden themselves inside this bloody terrain."
Suddenly, Sebastian grabbed Elijah and disappeared from the scene. His movements were so fast that he seemed to vanish, he appeared almost fifteen feet away, from where he was standing .
Elijah was shocked at his sudden movements,
"My oh my, so he sent the Raven along. He sure has learned few things."
A woman's seductive voice suddenly echoed through the surroundings,
Plop,
something dropped to the wet bloody ground, Conan's body stood headless.
Warm blood spurted out from his neck in sharp pulses, painting the air.
A woman stood, where Elijah was before, her appearance was enchanting.
A crimson coloured velvet gown clung to her hourglass frame, embroidered with silver threads shimmering in crimson moonlight.
Her skin, pale as alabaster and as smooth as silk, seemed to drink the moonlight.
Her long silver hairs, reaching her waist, fell over her back in perfect glacial grace.
"You vile creature, tonight will be your last" Sebastian put Elijah down and walked towards the woman in red.
Elijah's heart was pounding like a wardrum between his ribs, he was filled with primal fear of being a prey.
He activated his cape, turning invisible, he moved away clutching his sword,
Sebastian stood in front of the woman with a serious expression on his face, his body started emitting a dark aura which was completely absorbed by him.
The dark aura disappeared forming two short swords in his hands. With a flick of his arms, blood surrounding him and the woman started to boil and disappear.
" Before you die, tell me whether you came on your own or someone sent you." Sebastian spoke in a calm voice.
"Well, I would love to play with you. But, you are a little too old for my taste." The woman said in a seductive tone, her manner very casual, as if she was taking a late night stroll.
Responding to her remark, two figures clad in black cloaks appeared behind her.
They wore a white mask, only their eyes were visible from behind the mask.
"The boy is using some artifact to make him invisible, make sure he doesn't get lost." A manly voice told the woman in red.
" I know what I need to do, you guys play with him." The woman replied in a slightly irritated manner.
She moved back a little, making the two masked figures appear in front to face the Sebastian.
"Where do you think you are going?" Sebastian leaped forward disappearing again, he appeared behind the woman in red.
The woman's eyes widened, she was not looking at Sebastian, but at the tip of black blade which was poking out of her body, just below the sternum.
Her hands moved and flew towards the wound, disbelieving, her fingers brushed against the tip of blade.
Her lips were trembling then a wide smile formed on her face.
