Weekends were Eliza's new favorite thing — not because there was no school, not because she could sleep in…
But because weekends meant dates with Lucifer.
And no matter how many times they went out, it still made her stomach flutter like it was their very first.
Eliza stood in front of her mirror, turning side to side with a thoughtful pout. She'd chosen a soft cream sweater tucked into a pale blue skirt, paired with warm tights and ankle boots. A cozy gray muffler was wrapped neatly around her neck, and her matching earmuffs sat snugly against her ears.
Simple, soft, cute — but most importantly… noticeable.
She knew Lucifer would be watching everything.
Her cheeks were already tinted pink just imagining his gaze.
Downstairs, she casually called out, "I'm hanging out with Ava today, okay?"
"Alright, sweetie! Don't stay out too late!" her mom responded from the kitchen.
If only they knew that "Ava" had messy dark hair, sharp eyes, and a kiss that could make her forget her own name.

Meanwhile…
Lucifer was in his room, standing shirtless in front of the mirror as he judged his outfits with squinted eyes.
"Too hot," he muttered, tossing one jacket onto the bed. "Too cool."
He finally settled on a fitted black hoodie under a sleek dark coat, running his fingers through his hair to get that messy-but-perfect look.
He leaned into the mirror with a wink.
"Charming level: unlocked."
Finger guns. Point. Smirk.
"Time to make my girl swoon."
He left early, of course. He liked waiting for her. It made the moment she showed up even sweeter.
---
At their usual meeting spot by the plaza fountain, Lucifer stood with his hands in his pockets, shifting on his feet to fight the cold — until he spotted her in the distance.
Earmuffs. Muffler. Those wide, sparkling eyes.
His smile widened instantly.
"Hey, princess. Missed you."
Eliza giggled as she walked up to him. "Missed you too."
Lucifer stepped closer and adjusted her scarf with a quiet gentleness.
"Don't get cold," he murmured, then smirked. "You look adorable."
Then he twirled for her dramatically.
"Now tell me — how do I look?"
Eliza tilted her head, pretending to inspect him.
"You look… annoyingly good."
"Perfect." He grinned, lacing his fingers through hers. "Let's go ruin this date with my handsomeness."
---
They decided to catch a movie — something they hadn't planned. The poster looked good, the theater was warm, and spontaneous plans were their new thing.
Ten minutes in, they were both curious.
Thirty minutes in, then they both goes silent. And by the final act?
Eliza was full-on sniffling.
Her hand clutched Lucifer's hoodie sleeve tightly as the emotional story unfolded on screen.
He glanced at her, mildly panicked.
Oh no. She's crying. I didn't sign up for tears!
He cursed the movie silently. He wanted laughter, cozy cuddles, sweet moments — not heartbreak.
But…
When she leaned into him, tearful and soft, her head resting on his shoulder, her fingers curling into his sleeve — he melted.
His arm wrapped around her protectively, hand rubbing soothing circles into her back.
"Don't cry, princess," he whispered into her hair.
"They shouldn't have separated like that," Eliza sniffled. "They were supposed to be happy…"
Lucifer swallowed hard, holding her tighter. "They should've been," he said softly, though his mind was screaming who wrote this tragedy?!
Still, a part of him was selfishly glad for the excuse to hold her like this.
When the credits rolled and the lights came on, Eliza sat up with a sniff and rubbed her eyes.
Her nose was red, her lashes wet, and her lips pushed out in a little pout.
Lucifer couldn't help it — he leaned down and kissed her forehead.
"You're way too cute to cry over fictional heartbreaks."
She sniffled again and lightly smacked his arm. "Don't make fun of me."
"I'm not," he smiled. "I'm trying to survive. Your tears are lethal, woman."
---
Outside, night had fallen — cold and crisp, the city lit up with warm lights and soft sounds.
"Let's get something warm," Lucifer said, tugging her hand. "My girlfriend need hot chocolate therapy. Let's go"
They found a cozy little café tucked on the corner, the air inside filled with the scent of roasted coffee and cinnamon.
While waiting for their drinks, Lucifer leaned over the table, chin resting on his palm, eyes fixed on her.
"Okay, serious question," he said. "Were you crying because of the ending… or because you thought about life without me?"
Eliza rolled her eyes. "You wish."
He gasped, clutching his chest. "Ouch. Shot through the heart."
"You'll live," she smirked.
"Not unless…" He leaned in with narrowed eyes. "You kiss me. Right now. It's a medical emergency."
She laughed quietly, shaking her head — but when their drinks finally came, she leaned over the table and kissed his cheek sweetly.
Lucifer froze.
Then dramatically slumped back in his chair.
"I'm healed. Miraculously."
Eliza finally burst into full laughter — the sound he'd been waiting for.
Mission- successful.
---
Later, they strolled down the quiet street, the stars barely visible above city glow.
Their breath puffed in the cold air, and Eliza tucked her hands inside Lucifer's coat pockets, their fingers laced tight.
Lucifer wrapped his arm around her protectively.
"Cold air. Warm girl. Best combo."
She smiled up at him, resting her head on his shoulder.
"This is nice."
They walked like that — quietly, slowly — like time wasn't even real.
"Thanks for today," Eliza whispered.
Lucifer looked down at her with a soft smile. "Thanks for being mine."
He kissed the top of her head, his arm squeezing her even tighter.
---
When they finally reached Eliza's house, the street was quiet, moonlight spilling softly across the pavement.
Lucifer stopped just before the gate, still holding her hand.
"So…" he said, his voice low. "I guess this is goodbye."
Neither of them moved.
Lucifer smiled — the kind that reached his eyes, warm and teasing.
"Now… give me my reward for walking you home safely."
He pointed to his cheek expectantly.
Eliza giggled and leaned in, pressing a kiss to his cheek.
"And…" he said, tapping his lips this time, "…a goodnight kiss?"
"You're so greedy," she whispered, laughing.
"I'm a man in love," he shrugged, unashamed.
With a fond smile, Eliza cupped his face, leaned in…
And gave him a soft, lingering kiss.
When she pulled back, his eyes stayed closed for a second longer.
Then he exhaled, satisfied.
"Best date ever."
Eliza chuckled, already blushing as she reached for the door.
"Goodnight, Lucifer."
"Goodnight, princess."
She stepped inside, and Lucifer watched the door close behind her — then let out a dreamy sigh, turning back toward the street with a dazed grin.
To be continued....
