Chapter 3 - Chapter 3

Bobae let out a sigh of relief as Jinho left the room. She felt a mix of emotions - fear, anxiety, and uncertainty. She had never been treated like this before, and the thought of being at Jinho's beck and call was daunting.

As she began to unpack her belongings, Bobae's mind wandered to her parents and the debt they owed to the Jejjuk family. She wondered if they knew about the harsh treatment she would receive.

The next morning, Bobae woke up early, determined to follow Jinho's rules to the letter. She cleaned his room, ironed his clothes, and waited for him to give her further instructions.

When Jinho emerged from his room, Bobae curtsied, trying to show her respect. "Good morning, sir. I've prepared everything for you."

Jinho's expression remained cold, but he nodded slightly. "Good. Let's go to school. We'll take the car."

As they drove to school, Bobae sat in the backseat, trying to keep a low profile. Jinho ignored her, staring out the window or typing on his phone.

When they arrived at school, Bobae followed Jinho at a distance, trying to blend in with the other students. But she couldn't help feeling like an outsider, a maid living in the shadow of the wealthy and influential Jejjuk family.

As Jinho walked into his classroom, Bobae noticed a group of students staring at her. One of them, a boy with a charming smile, caught her eye. He looked familiar - Minho, Jinho's friend.

Minho's eyes lingered on Bobae's face before he turned to Jinho. "Hey, man. Who's the new girl?"

Jinho's expression turned cold. "None of your business, Minho. Just focus on your own life."

Minho raised an eyebrow but didn't push the issue. Bobae felt a sense of relief wash over her, grateful that Minho didn't seem to suspect her true relationship with Jinho.

As Bobae sat down at her desk, a group of students nearby started snickering and whispering to each other. One of them, a girl with a sneer on her face, turned to Bobae and said, "Hey, newcomer! Introduce yourself. Who are you?" Bobae ignored her, trying to focus on the teacher.

The girl wouldn't let up. "Hey, I'm talking to you! Don't you know who's speaking to you?" She grabbed Bobae's hair, yanking her head back. "Are you deaf?" Bobae winced in pain but remained silent.

The girl continued taunting her. "Who the hell are you? Why do you come to our school? You don't seem rich. This school is for the Jejjuk group, for rich students. Are you rich? Tell me, who are your parents?"

Just as it seemed like the situation would escalate further, Minho intervened. "Leave her alone, Seoyeon," he said calmly, his eyes fixed on the girl. Seoyeon let go of Bobae's hair, shooting Minho a dirty look before backing off.

Lizzy, who was sitting nearby, watched the exchange with growing anger. She didn't like how Minho was defending this new girl.

The bell rang, signaling the start of lunch break. Minho turned to Bobae. "Hey, are you okay? Do you want to grab lunch together? I can show you around the school."

Bobae nodded gratefully, still shaken from the encounter. As they walked out of the classroom, Minho asked, "So, what's your name?"

"I'm Bobae," she replied softly.

Minho smiled. "I'm Minho. Nice to meet you, Bobae. Don't mind Seoyeon; she's just a mean girl."

As they explored the school, Bobae felt a sense of relief wash over her. Maybe this place wouldn't be so bad with Minho as a friend.

When they reached the cafeteria, Minho suggested they grab a table by the window. "What's your favorite food?" he asked as they sat down.

Bobae smiled slightly. "I like kimchi stew."

Minho grinned. "Me too! I'll introduce you to the best kimchi stew in school."

Lizzy watched from afar, her jealousy simmering. She didn't like how close Minho was getting to this new girl. She'd have to keep an eye on Bobae.

As they enjoyed their lunch, Minho asked Bobae about her interests and hobbies. Bobae opened up, sharing her love for reading and writing. Minho listened intently, asking thoughtful questions and making her laugh.

Lizzy couldn't help but notice how Minho was shining a spotlight on Bobae. She felt a pang of jealousy, wondering why Minho was so taken with this new girl.

After lunch, Minho walked Bobae back to her classroom. "Hey, want to study together sometime?" he asked, his smile friendly.

Bobae nodded, feeling grateful for the kindness. "That would be great, thanks."

As they parted ways, Lizzy approached Minho. "What's going on with you and that new girl?" she asked, her tone slightly accusatory.

Minho raised an eyebrow. "Just being friendly, Lizzy. Don't read too much into it."

Lizzy's expression turned icy. "I'll keep an eye on her."

Meanwhile, Jinho watched the exchange from afar, his eyes narrowing. He didn't like how Minho was getting close to Bobae. He'd have to keep tabs on her, ensure she didn't get too comfortable.
