Chapter 37 - Ch- 37 A Morning of Revelation and Confession

The sun filtered through the large windows of Professor Oak's lab as Akg arrived, as he did every morning. But today… something was different.

Standing near the specimen table, Daisy Oak looked at him in a way she never had before — her eyes shy, her cheeks tinted red, her hands nervously clasped together. As soon as their eyes met, she panicked.

"D-D-Don't look at me like that!" she stammered and quickly ran off toward the back corridor

Akg blinked, confused.

Why is she acting like a nervous bride…?

Curious and mildly concerned, he made his way to Professor Oak's office, hoping for answers. The old man was sipping tea, reviewing data reports, but looked up with a knowing smile when Akg entered.

"Heh… figured you'd come soon."

"Professor… what's going on with Daisy?" Akg asked directly.

Professor Oak chuckled softly, putting his tea down.

"Well, you'll find out eventually… so let me give it to you straight."

The next words hit like a thunderclap.

"The Pokémon Alliance has officially approved your title as Professor Akg. It'll be announced to the world tomorrow — with a full ceremony and media coverage."

Akg's eyes widened slightly.

So soon?

But Professor Oak wasn't finished.

"And since the news already reached the top families… the Oak Family elders proposed a marriage alliance between you and Daisy. It was approved last night."

"Marriage…" Akg echoed, stunned.

"That's why Daisy's been acting shy. She already knows about it. Though… she doesn't know if you'll accept."

Akg took a long breath. He had expected many things — recognition, fame, maybe even pressure. But not… this.

After a moment of silence, he thanked Professor Oak and walked outside, his mind heavy with thoughts. But one thing was clear.

I have to talk to Daisy directly… she deserves that much.

A few minutes later, he found Daisy sitting alone under the large apricorn tree behind the lab, the sunlight dancing through the leaves. Her white coat lay neatly folded beside her. She was hugging her knees, lost in thought.

He approached quietly.

"Daisy," he said softly.

She looked up quickly, startled. "Akg…!"

"Can I sit?" he asked.

She nodded silently.

They sat in a comfortable silence for a while until Akg finally spoke

"I know about the marriage proposal. Professor Oak told me."

Daisy stiffened slightly, her fingers curling.

"But before anything else," he continued gently, "I want to be honest with you. I… I have feelings for others too — Serena, Korrina, Chloe. They've been with me through important parts of my journey."

Daisy's gaze lowered.

"But," he said firmly, "I love you too, Daisy. Deeply. You've become someone I can't imagine not having in my life. You've been by my side all these years, and I've seen how kind, smart, and beautiful you are."

She didn't say anything, but her lips trembled.

"I don't want to lie to you or promise something fake. I want to love you honestly — for who you are. And yes… I want to marry you. If you'll have me."

For a long moment, Daisy stayed silent. Then, with misty eyes, she looked at him.

"I was sad… for a second," she whispered. "Knowing I wasn't your only one. But… I know who you are, Akg. You're going to change the world. And polygamy isn't unusual among powerful families. But what matters to me… is that you told me everything. That you chose to be honest."

She smiled then — a beautiful, genuine smile.

"So yes. Yes, Akg… I'll marry you."

With emotion rushing through them, Akg gently took her hand, pulled her close, and looked into her eyes.

"Daisy… thank you."

Then, slowly, he lifted her face and kissed her soft, cherry-flavored lips. Daisy responded, her arms wrapping tightly around him, sealing the beginning of something new — not just a partnership, but a promise for the future.
