# Chloe's POV#
The rain pounds against the windshield of Gabriel's Aston Martin as we sit in the darkened parking garage beneath his building. Two hours have passed since dinner ended, but neither of us has moved to leave.
"I should go home," I say for the third time tonight. My wedding ring catches the dim overhead light, a cold reminder of the life waiting for me twenty blocks away.
"Should and want are two different things," Gabriel replies softly. His hand rests on the gear shift between us, close enough that I can feel the warmth radiating from his skin.
Thunder rumbles overhead. The storm matches the chaos in my chest perfectly.
"This is crazy, Gabriel. What we're talking about... what you said at dinner..."
"I meant every word." He turns in his seat to face me fully. Even in the shadowy parking garage, his dark eyes are intense, magnetic. "I'm in love with you, Chloe. Completely, desperately in love with you."
