After dropping my luggage in my room I quickly took a hot bath cause I was all sweaty from the road trip. I put on a tank top and a free shorts and head downstairs to where my mom saw seated watching a show. I walked towards her and sat beside her leaning my head on her shoulders. She kissed my forehead and we were both quiet enjoying the peace of the night. I still haven't told her yet about it but I knew she wouldn't ask, at least not today. That was one thing I loved about her. And slowly we feel asleep in each others arms
The sunlight streamed through my windows as I rose from my bed. Mom probably woke me in the middle of the night. I sit up trying to adjust my eyes to the sun light, I hear noises from downstairs and before I could go check I saw my best friend in the whole wide world Alexis Johnson. We've been besties from first grade. I loved her so much we were basically sisters.
Alexis jumped on me and we both fell both groaning and laughing at the same time.

I'm more happy to see you Skyie, it's been forever I thought I might die" Alexis said dramatically holding her head like she was going to pass out
I laughed and we both walked downstairs and saw my mom on the kitchen counter drinking her morning coffee while she check her mails I guess. Mom looked up at us and dropped her phone while she smiled at us both

it was alright mom thanks. I said grabbing a toast and some milk from the fridge I put a plate in Alex front. Alex wasn't a guest in our house anymore she knew every single room and Conner of my house and same goes to me in hers, Alexis lost her dad shortly after our graduation from high school and she decided not to leave her mom for now
