King had been around Leonard's house so much that he hated it. He hated how much he didn't have anything new to do. He hated that he didn't know anything that Leonard was up to, it was as though Leonard was intentionally keeping him from getting new information.
He remembered the last conversation they had, it was two nights ago and it was the shortest phone call ever.
'Xavier isn't dead, we are planning something. Keep everything at bay.'
The phone call didn't last five seconds, King hated how there wasn't a new girl he could have sex with or anyone he could steal from. He hated that Leonard had been away for weeks and all he had been doing was planning and planning.
He hated how he was always at home with Skye, keeping her at bay– like a guard even though he wasn't. He wasn't looking like a henchman or even the second in command. He was one of the best men Leonard could ever ask for but he was reduced to nothing.
