Sakiya smiled as she watched Obito fall silent.
Sealing the space had been easy.
Once she had mastered sealing techniques, this kind of thing was nothing.
With her red and blue eyes, she could see the flow of space itself, pinpointing its weaknesses.
Pair that with years of study, and trapping someone inside?
Child's play.
"So… any last words?"
She asked with a teasing smile, making no move to attack.
"Last words?"
Obito lowered his head.
Then, a low chuckle escaped him.
"Hah… last words? And what if I do?"
When he looked up, his bloodshot eyes burned with fury.
His voice exploded with frustration.
"Why?! Why would someone like you defend this FAKE world?!"
"You're the type who plays with the world under your feet!
Sakiya's smile didn't waver.
But her head tilted slightly, as if thinking it over.
"Hmm… when you put it like that, I guess I should be offended."
She tapped her chin, then grinned.
"But nah~ I've made up my mind.
First, I'll start small—
I'll protect this world."
Her head bobbed in a confident nod, and her different-colored eyes sparkled.
Obito froze.
In those eyes, he saw something pure—so impossibly pure that it shook him to his core.
A soul untainted.
Unshaken.
Untouched by the filth of this world.
Was such a thing even possible?
Obito's breath caught.
[Is this… her strength?]
[Unshakable purity? Overwhelming power?]
[Does the world protect those like her?]
His gaze drifted upward.
The sky stretched, clear and endless, without a single cloud.
"... The world… only loves special people?"
His fingers tightened into a fist.
Then why…
Why didn't it protect Rin?!
---
…
I know...
This world is full of lies.
A hypocritical, disgusting world.
It never changes.
And it never fails to disappoint me.
Obito's bloodshot Sharingan glared at Sakiya. His breath was ragged, his fury boiling over.
Sakiya blinked, tilting her head.
"Huh…? What's with that look?"
She watched as his chakra flared violently, his presence becoming almost feral.
Still, she wasn't worried.
Instead, she found it a little funny.
"You still haven't given up?"
Obito ignored her words.
Instead, he poured everything into his Kamui.
[I don't believe it.]
[I don't believe it!]
If I can still feel Kamui's space...
Then it means I can break through!
Break!
BREAK!!!
But—
Nothing changed.
The space remained completely stable, untouched by his desperation.
Sakiya sighed, twirling a finger.
"Well~ that's boring. Let's wrap this up.
I've got a world to save."
She raised a single finger, where a fiery red energy orb began forming.
It glowed brighter and brighter, until it was the size of a watermelon.
Her gaze sharpened.
"Goodbye, fallen man. Seems like reasoning with you was a waste of time."
Then—
She fired.
Obito's eyes widened as the blast hurtled toward him.
But then—
A crack of space ripped open.
Kamui had finally activated.
Inside the dimension, a certain scythe-wielding lunatic perked up.
Hidan grinned, stretching.
"Finally! Took you long enough!"
He hopped to his feet, grabbing his scythe.
"Time to carve up that girl and offer her soul to Jashin-sama!"
But the moment he stepped through—
All he saw was a blinding light.
A massive energy sphere, hurling straight for his face.
His brain stalled.
What.
The.
Hell.
Then—
BOOM.
The explosion swallowed him whole.
-----
In an instant—
The energy ball slammed into Hidan's face, burning his flesh to ash on contact.
Then, with its immense force, it sent his body hurtling backward at breakneck speed, his head snapping back from the impact.
For a split second, Obito twisted his body, narrowly avoiding Hidan's flying, half-incinerated form.
Then—
BOOM!
The explosion detonated, the blinding light swallowing everything in its path.
A violent shockwave ripped through the air, slamming into Obito's back.
Sakiya's bangs fluttered wildly from the force, her hair tousled into an odd little cowlick.
She blinked.
"…Huh?"
Did someone just jump in to take her attack?
Obito was panting, his breath ragged.
His attempt to phase through had failed, but at least he had tested something—
[Can I send objects out of Kamui's space?]
It turns out, he could.
Though… he'd ended up using Hidan's face as a human shield.
Not exactly planned.
But whatever.
If he died in that blast, he wasn't coming back anyway.
[At best, I bought myself a second or two…]
Obito's gaze drifted back to Sakiya. His body ached, his chakra was running low.
He clenched his fists.
"This world really is a joke… It's not fair..."
Sakiya scratched her head, unbothered.
"Well, whatever that was, it's dead now."
She casually raised her palm, aiming at him once more.
"Let's not drag this out, shall we?"
The same deadly energy began gathering at her fingertips—
And this time, there would be no interruptions.
This time, Sakiya didn't hesitate.
A fiery red energy ball flared to life in her palm, its power far surpassing the last one.
Obito gritted his teeth. He refused to accept this as his end.
He stamped his foot, forcing his body forward.
Sakiya, unimpressed, narrowed her eyes.
"Goodbye, fallen human."
She raised her glowing palm—
But just as she was about to fire, the energy ball flickered.
The golden-red aura around her dimmed.
And then—
It vanished.
Sakiya froze.
"Wait… did I just run out of energy?"
Obito also stared, stunned.
Then, realization dawned.
Did the world… just give me another chance?
A slow, crooked smile spread across his face.
"If that's the case…"
He rushed forward, forming hand seals.
Chakra flared.
He took a deep breath—
"Fire Style: Fireball Jutsu!"
Sakiya blinked.
A fireball?
Seriously?
Even without her power, she was still way stronger than him.
Annoyed, she raised a hand, lightning crackling at her fingertips.
"Thunder Break: Void Severance!"
A sharp arc of lightning sliced through the fireball, splitting it in half instantly.
But—
Obito was gone.
Sakiya's instincts screamed.
She spun around, just in time to see Obito behind her, kunai in hand, aiming straight for her heart.
She reacted on instinct.
Her leg lashed out, catching him square in the waist—
But then—
Poof!
A clone.
Sakiya's eyes widened.
The real Obito was in front of her—
His kunai inches from her chest.
But just before it could strike—
CRACK!
Her high kick slammed into his chin, sending him flying.
Obito crashed down hard, tumbling several meters before rolling to a stop.
His entire body ached, but he ignored the pain and forced himself to his feet.
Then, he saw it.
A thin scratch on Sakiya's arm.
And when he looked at his kunai—
Blood.
Obito's breath hitched.
Then—
He laughed.
"Finally!"
His eyes burned with wild joy.
"I finally landed a hit on you!"
His grin widened.
"This battle… it's mine!"
