Even with Hidan gone, Obito could tell—the girl was nearly out of power.
She had exhausted herself.
And he was a mastermind—he refused to believe that, with all his years of combat experience and countless jutsu, he couldn't defeat her now.
He glanced at the bloodstain on his hand.
Proof.
Proof that he had landed a hit.
His lips curled into a smirk.
But across from him, Sakiya didn't seem concerned.
In fact, she just looked annoyed.
"You seem to be misunderstanding something."
Obito's grin widened, his voice filled with quiet menace.
"Misunderstanding? Oh? And what exactly do you think I'm misunderstanding?"
Sakiya didn't answer.
Instead—
Her energy surged again.
Her red and blue eyes flashed.
Golden-red energy flared back to life, cloaking her body in its overwhelming radiance.
Her aura—like a vast, endless ocean—roared through the battlefield.
Obito's confidence shattered.
His body froze, the grin on his face stiffening.
This… this was full power?
And then, in the calmest, most casual tone, Sakiya tilted her head and said:
"The Death Source energy is gone, sure. But the Eye of Death? That can be activated again whenever I want. After all… this is just my normal full-power mode."
Silence.
Obito's mind blanked.
Full power.
Just… normal mode.
Then what the hell was that entire scene just now?!
That whole "running out of energy" thing—
Was she just playing with him?!
Obito felt his entire world collapse.
"WHAT?!?!"
His breathing quickened. His muscles tensed. His thoughts scrambled.
And just when he thought it couldn't get any worse—
A furious voice erupted from behind.
"YOU BASTARD!!!"
Obito turned his head.
Standing a few feet away, dressed in a tattered Akatsuki cloak, hair a disheveled mess, face scorched black, was none other than—
Hidan.
Still very much alive.
And very, very pissed off.
"You used me as a SHIELD, YOU PIECE OF SH—!!!"
Hidan stormed over, grabbed Obito by the collar, and lifted him up.
"You—!! Chilaquala… @ヾ?????ˋ??*?!!"
Obito wasn't listening.
His eyes had already shifted back to Sakiya—who wasn't even attacking.
She just stood there.
Watching them.
Expression completely bored.
Obito exhaled slowly.
His hands trembled.
What… am I even fighting against?
Hidan was still ranting.
"I swear, I'm gonna rip you apart and sacrifice your blood to Lord Cthulhu!"
"Enough, Hidan!"
Obito's Sharingan spun as he locked eyes with him, his voice unusually calm and sincere.
"If I hadn't pulled you out to block that attack, I would be dead. And you? You'd be trapped in that damn space forever. Think about it."
Hidan scowled but said nothing.
Obito continued.
"And besides... the one who actually blasted you in the face wasn't me."
He tilted his head toward the girl.
Hidan turned—and froze.
Sakiya stood there, smiling warmly, casually waving at him like she was greeting a friendly neighbor.
"…Hey there."
Hidan and Obito both felt a weird sense of contradiction.
They were literally locked in a life-and-death battle.
And yet—
This girl acted like it was nothing.
They shook the thought off.
Obito broke the silence first.
"Hidan, how the hell did you survive? I thought you got blown to pieces."
Hidan's expression darkened.
"Tch! If that damn energy ball hadn't let go of my face mid-air, I'd be dust right now!"
Right.
That was strange.
The energy ball wasn't exactly sticky, yet the sheer force had carried Hidan for quite a distance before he finally broke free.
Even then, his head was still ringing, and it had taken a while for him to recover.
Obito didn't waste time on small talk.
He shoved a kunai into Hidan's hands.
"No time for complaints. Just do the ritual."
Hidan glanced at the bloodstains on the kunai, then scowled.
"…This is barely anything. You expect me to work with this?"
Obito gritted his teeth.
"It's all we've got! Do you have any idea how hard it was to get even this much?! She went up against the Five Kage! Madara! And me! Even you! And all we got was this tiny drop of blood!"
Hidan stared at him.
Then sighed.
"…Fine. But next time, get me more."
Obito exhaled sharply.
"Just make it work."
Hidan glanced at Obito, who was practically buzzing with excitement, then curled his burned lips in irritation. Without hesitation, he began drawing his ritual circle on the ground.
Obito, standing nearby, turned to Sakiya with a friendly nod, as if nothing had just happened.
Sakiya, ever polite, played along, watching Hidan work with genuine curiosity.
"So this is the pattern for your ritual?"
Her soft, inquisitive voice floated through the tense air, making both Obito and Hidan pause for a moment.
Obito forced a casual smile.
"Oh, no. Just a normal drawing, nothing special."
Sakiya sighed, tilting her head slightly.
"Ah~ really?"
By now, Hidan had finished most of the design. A familiar circle and triangle took shape.
He glanced at Sakiya, completely unbothered.
"Nope. This is my ritual circle."
Obito's stomach dropped.
What the hell is he doing?!
But Sakiya still didn't react. No attack, no interruptions.
She simply watched. Amused.
"A curse that uses blood as a medium?"
Hidan smirked, puffing out his chest.
"You catch on quick! That's right—my ritual is a gift from Jashin! The power of death itself!"
He let out a wild laugh, expecting some reaction.
Sakiya, however, remained completely unfazed.
Resting her chin in her hand, she smiled and replied in a calm voice.
"That's pretty neat."
Obito froze.
Did she just say 'neat'?!
Hidan shrugged, ignoring her. He had work to do.
Grabbing his kunai, he wiped the blood off and licked it, savoring the taste.
Then, closing his eyes, he sighed in satisfaction.
"Mmm… blood. The scent of a worthy sacrifice."
His eyes snapped open, now glowing with maniacal energy. His body twisted into a grotesque form, looking as if some ancient force had possessed him.
"Yes… this blood is perfect! Lord Jashin will love it!"
Sakiya blinked, tilting her head.
"Oh? Really?"
Her voice was light, almost playful.
Then, with a curious expression, she asked:
"By the way, what's the name of this god of yours? Maybe I've met him before."
Obito's entire body stiffened.
Something was very, very wrong.
His gut twisted. He felt like he was missing something—something important.
Hidan, however, wasn't paying attention.
Scoffing, he pulled out his black ritual spear.
"You'll know soon enough. I'll offer your soul to Lord Jashin!"
Without hesitation, he raised the spear over his heart and prepared to stab himself.
That's when it finally hit Obito.
His blood ran cold.
"WAIT—!"
He lunged forward, slamming into Hidan.
The spear jerked off course, stabbing into Hidan's chest—just beside his heart.
Splurt!
Blood sprayed into the air.
Hidan gasped, stumbling.
"What the hell, man?! Interrupting a ritual has serious consequences!"
Then, blinking, he noticed something.
There was blood on Obito's chest.
Obito stared at it, dumbfounded.
That wasn't supposed to happen.
He turned slowly—only to see Sakiya, still smiling.
Pure. Innocent. Amused.
But now, he understood.
He remembered every little detail.
Her calm expression.
Her casual attitude.
Her lack of concern.
Obito's hands started shaking.
This entire time…
She was playing.
Playing with them.
Like fools.
