A necklace.
To be precise, it was a gold chain with a green centerpiece. Plain yet beautiful.
"Hm? What is this?" Ivy muttered as she stared at the necklace she was seeing for the first time in her life.
"Is it a treasure or something? An artifact, maybe? Like the ring? Should I drop blood on it?" Ivy bit her index finger hard, till her teeth sank into her skin and blood seeped out.
Without a single frown on her face, Ivy dropped the blood on the necklace, and just as she had expected, the necklace absorbed the blood.
A bright glow enveloped Ivy, and when she opened her eyes, she was surprised to find herself standing in a patch of land.
The area around her was covered by the white mist, and it was pretty hard for Ivy to see anything.
"Hm... let me guess... is this the so-called golden finger? Is it a space? So there must be spring water here, right?" Ivy thought to herself.
Before the apocalypse, she had read many apocalyptic novels, where the female lead has a space, which not only can grow vegetables but also has spring water capable of purifying a human body.
But her instincts were telling her that it wasn't the case.
If it were a space... it shouldn't have such a strange environment.
The place was cold, detached from any warmth; there wasn't a single trace of sunlight, and just by standing there, Ivy could feel the chill in the air.
Just as she was wondering what the place was, she heard a mechanical voice.
[Hello. Welcome to Temporal Storage Space.]
'Temporal Storage Space? What was that?' That was the first question that came to Ivy's mind.
[Here, all the items you store can be preserved for a long time. And all the items you store using your superpower can be multiplied 25 times.]
"What?" Ivy was stunned; she felt as if her ears were ringing.
25 times?
But the condition...
"By using my superpower?" Ivy muttered.
According to her previous life, none of her superpowers were capable of collecting the supplies.
Powers such as speed, strength, and psychic could help in stealing or snatching the supplies.
But other powers? They were useless.
Ivy decided not to delve into the topic and asked instead,
"So I store things here... but how much space is there here?"
Whatever the voice was, it didn't answer; instead, it went ahead with instructions.
[Living objects can be stored, however, they can only stay inside for a day. Once 24 hours are over, they would be kicked out.]
[The owner, however, can stay inside for 5 days.]
[Plants and such things can't be grown here due to the inadequate level.]
[The Temporal Storage Space runs on Karmic Energy and Kindness Energy. Your items will be multiplied or preserved using the karmic or kindness energy.]
[Current stored karmic energy: 20 kb]
[Note: Kb denotes kindness beats or karmic beats.]
Ivy: "..." What?
For a moment, Ivy was speechless. She has never heard of terms like kindness beats or Karmic energy.
Can anything truly work on karma?
'What a strange nonsense...' Ivy thought.
However, she also realised one thing. It was a manual guide kind of thing, and not some assistant.
So she could hear the instructions with a flabbergasted expression as the voice continued to say bizarre things.
[Nothing can be created here. Duplication is possible, but it requires kindness energy. The Temporal Storage Space is inlaid with a kindness meter, which could capture the kindness or karmic energy and store it to later use it for the conversion.]
"Alright. Put the instruction on hold." Ivy ordered.
She can listen to the remaining instructions any time, but she couldn't hunt for food once the time passed.
[Alright.]
Surprisingly, the instruction stopped. It seemed that words like 'play', 'hold', 'pause', or any other basic instructions could work.
Once outside, Ivy wore the necklace, and a voice sounded in her mind,
[Would you like to turn on the invisible function?]
'How convenient.' Ivy thought and answered, "Yes."
Ivy exited the spa. Her mood had improved. At least she doesn't need to worry about not having a space to put everything.
"Hm... where should I go?" Ivy muttered.
In her last life, all her focus revolved around her family, her misery, and misfortunes. She hardly had time to focus on the outside world.
And now... she doesn't know where she could get supplies.
"Is that Ivy?" A voice asked in a surprised tone.
