"Zhao, we have to finish this fight quickly!" shouted Tora.
"I agree!" replied Zhao, still locked in battle with Magenta.
Tora was also fiercely fighting Goly, the fire demon. Goly had surrounded their battlefield with blazing flames. The intense heat made things difficult for Tora. The unrelenting flames singed his fur several times. He had already suffered multiple burns.
"Father, hang in there!" he muttered.
Tora leaped to dodge a large fireball hurled by Goly. A loud explosion echoed as the ball hit the ground, leaving a smoking crater. Goly laughed with satisfaction, his eyes glowing like embers.
"Come on, half-ape creature! Show me what you've got!" mocked Goly, clenching his glowing red fists.
Tora swung his mace above his head, faster and faster, creating a tornado that swept away the flames around him. Goly kept attacking, but his fire was completely devoured by the swirling wind.
Tora didn't waste time. As soon as the flames were cleared by the tornado, he charged at Goly with a loud cry, "Now face me, demon!"
Goly responded with burning palms, sending a pillar of fire from the ground into the sky. But Tora had already predicted his move. He dodged sideways, rolled mid-air, and kicked Goly square in the chest. Tora threw Goly back several meters and dragged him across the scorched earth.
Goly grunted and stood up with a sneer. "Not bad. You're not as weak as I thought," he said, brushing ash off his cloak made of dark fire. "But this isn't over."
Suddenly, the ground beneath Tora glowed red. He felt searing heat surging from below. "Damn it!" he shouted. Without hesitation, he planted his mace into the ground and pushed off to leap backward. Moments later, a burst of fire erupted where he had just stood, nearly burning him alive.
Goly laughed triumphantly. "This is my domain now, Tora. Fire is my home, and you're just a guest I'll greet with death!"
Tora groaned. His breathing was heavy. The burn on his shoulder stung, and patches of his fur were scorched. But he gripped his mace tightly. "I won't die here. My father is waiting for me."
In the midst of the raging tornado and fierce winds, the battle between Tora and Goly escalated. This was the final showdown—between life and death!
"This is your end!" Goly shouted.
He crouched down and placed his hands on the ground. A heated tremor began to rise from within the earth. Goly was summoning a fire vortex to erupt from below.
Tora realized it, but the attack was incredibly difficult to counter. A second later, flames burst repeatedly from the ground. Wherever Tora stepped, fire erupted—even just after he dodged.
The fire bursts appeared and vanished rapidly. Tora appeared to be in a precarious situation, pursued and mere moments away from certain death through incineration.
"Speed is my strength. I won't lose!" Tora declared.
As he avoided a fire burst beside him, Tora shot forward to attack Goly. His movement was lightning-fast. He darted in a zigzag, evading the erupting flames.
Goly's efforts to burn his opponent failed, and now he was panicking. "Damn you!"
He increased the intensity of the fire bursts—faster, bigger. But again, Tora dodged with ease. In an instant, he was beside Goly, surprising the fire demon.
Tora swung his mace powerfully, landing a blow on Goly's arm. Goly was flung far, skidding across the ground. Worse, the tornado's raging wind pulled Goly into it.
It was all part of Tora's plan—forcing Goly into the tornado. Tora followed him in the whirlwind.
The tornado hurled debris, wood, and stones. Goly's body was battered repeatedly. The force and speed rendered him completely immobilized.
For Goly, the tornado was a prison of torment. But for Tora, it became a playground. His speed allowed him to move through the wind, leaping from tree to rock, his body as light as air.
Goly was trapped and tortured relentlessly. Tora kept attacking, slamming his mace hard into Goly's body again and again, matching the rhythm of the spinning wind. Goly could only groan in agony, his screams drowned by the storm.
"THIS IS FOR EVERYONE YOU'VE HURT!" Tora shouted. He leapt high into the air and plunged his mace directly into Goly's helpless body. A loud boom echoed as the mace hit Goly's chest, followed by a blinding flash of light.
The tornado exploded instantly—not in flames, but with a massive gust of wind that swept across the battlefield. White smoke rose high, scattering dust and embers. Goly crashed to the ground, hitting it hard and leaving a deep crater. His fire cloak had faded and was flapping weakly like tattered cloth, revealing his charred body.
Tora fell on the opposite side, rolling on the ground, breathing heavily. Despite the battered and fur-burned body, Tora's eyes continued to burn with determination. He crawled toward the collapsed Goly.
"Get up if you still can," Tora said quietly, almost as a final challenge.
Goly tried to move, but his form had deteriorated. The fire on his body was nearly extinguished, and thick blood flowed from his mouth. "You… bastard…" he hissed before falling still, unmoving.
Tora exhaled deeply. But there was no time to rest. He quickly ran to his father, still crucified on a pole. With a single swing, his mace smashed the post down.
Marco's breathing was faint as Tora freed him from the bindings. "Father! Are you okay?"
Marco slowly opened his eyes and gave his son a gentle, loving smile, filled with warmth and quiet relief. His gaze spoke of deep affection, as if trying to reassure his son without words. Although he was weak, Marco's presence brought a sense of peace and comfort to the moment they shared.
"Tora, get Uncle Marco out of here, tend to him!" shouted Zhao, still fiercely battling Magenta.
Uncle Marco looked fragile, barely breathing. His consciousness was fading. "Father!" Tora cried, shaking his body.
Tora swiftly embraced his father and sprinted away. Driven by desperation and love, he raced through the chaos, determined to find help and save the man who meant everything to him. Every second counted as he fought against time and fate.
