'This is lame, Bethany. They could wake up anytime now.' Maria tried to reason.
'They are Alphas, Maria. I can't make just toast and bacon for them. It barely satisfies me. Besides, you said I wore them out last night. So let's just say, I'm giving back.' She replied, rounding up frying the last batch of bacon, nodding in satisfaction at how chewy they had turned out.
'Wow. I never thought I'd see this day.' Maria chimed giving her a teasing look.
'What do you mean?' Beth asked, cutting open the the pancake mix and pouring the quantity she needed in a bowl.
'You are not usually like this. You are very uptight and always overthinking and mistrusting and many other things that is definitely not this, so yeah, I never thought I'd see the day you'd stand in a hoodie, listening to Britney Spears, cooking a breakfast platter.' Maria stated.
Bethany sighed, pausing her mixing for a moment before picking up again.
