Chapter 32 - Curse of Death

The chalk dust in the classroom was suspended in the air. Outside the window, the shadow of a flying bird was pinned to the curtains, and even the sunlight stopped flowing. This was some kind of ability of the Reaper Tessa.

However, he only heard of the momentum but never saw the person, and just when Ian looked around.

"It's been almost a day, why do I feel like you're not in a hurry at all?" Tessa, the Grim Reaper, frowned and walked over from behind the teacher, who was frozen on the podium, passing through the teacher's body.

She seemed to have changed her clothes today, still pure black, but now she was wearing a shiny leather jacket and pants. Looking at her body, Ian really wanted to know if the Grim Reaper could fart.

"Um?"

Tessa felt Ian's strange gaze.

"Who said I didn't do anything? I have prepared a brilliant plan. Do you know what it is?" Ian cautiously tested the female Grim Reaper.

"Um?"

Tessa, the goddess of death, frowned.

"Do you think I'm paying attention to you all the time? Don't be so narcissistic, little guy." Her tone was unfriendly, but Ian's smile suddenly brightened.

"You're right, I think so too." Ian's smile was very sunny, he was a real sunny and cheerful big boy, but the female Grim Reaper frowned more and more after seeing this.

"I really didn't expect that attending classes is more important than your father's life. How should I put it, as a student, you are very qualified?" Tessa was obviously speechless.

She looked around. The physics teacher's mouth was still stuck on the shape of F₁l₁= F₂l₂. Poor physics teacher, she didn't know that something that violated physics's corpse was happening here.

"It's all part of the plan."

Ian blinked.

"What's the plan?"

The female reaper narrowed her eyes. She seemed to have learned how to flash from the evil spirits, and appeared in front of Ian in a flash, but she did not bring the slightest breeze.

"I can't tell you. This is also part of the plan. Believe me, I really have a plan. If I tell you, my plan might not work." Ian played a three-body joke, but unfortunately, all the people present who could move and couldn't move combined probably couldn't understand his humor and bad jokes.

"If you still want to save your father, you'd better hurry up." The goddess of death, Tessa, did not continue to ask, but instead showed Ian on the spot what a qualified threat was.

However,

"Maybe you can provide me with some help? You know... I'm just an ordinary person." Ian was not trying to gain sympathy. He was very aware of his own strength.

After hearing this, Death Tessa frowned again.

"What does it have to do with me? Do you think I care?" She showed a slightly unhappy expression, with her hands folded across her chest, like a bad girl who was good at keeping strangers away.

"If it really doesn't matter." Ian tapped the table lightly with his fingertips. His tone was firm, and he stated the fact he guessed, "You shouldn't be here."

It doesn't actually take much brain to discover this secret.

"…"

Death Tessa fell silent, and the temperature in the classroom dropped sharply. Ian don't know if it was affected by her mood. And just when the atmosphere was tense to the extreme.

"You're such a cunning kid, you win." Tessa, the Goddess of Death, shook her head a few times as if she had a headache. Her compromise made Ian feel more and more that he might really be the God of Gamblers of Metropolis.

The boy secretly gave himself a thumbs up.

"Why don't you start from yesterday's plane crash? Your father hasn't had a failure in a long time, right?" Death Tessa had already given a hint.

"We should go to the Metropolitan General Hospital, right?" Ian quickly replied. This was similar to his previous thoughts. Perhaps he also had the potential to be a famous detective in the Metropolis, taking inspiration from his Uncle Batman, who had zero connection to his Uncle Bruce.

"Um."

Tessa's eyebrows rose barely perceptibly.

"It seems like you did do some research."

Her tone softened, proving once again that she wasn't always paying attention to Ian's progress. That's right, as a Reaper, she must have a lot of business-related things to do.

"I told you, I have a plan," Ian emphasized again, and when he was about to continue asking for some clues, he suddenly saw the Grim Reaper raising her slender fingers.

"Let me save you some time to implement your plan." After saying that, the woman with beautiful white skin snapped her fingers, and the world frozen in black and white peeled off like a torn canvas.

Ian felt dizzy, and when his vision cleared up, the smell of disinfectant had already filled his nose. Under the pale light, the large sign of "Metropolis General Hospital" was hanging in front of him, and the puddles after the rain reflected their figures - the world had regained its color without knowing when.

It's just that time still seems not to be flowing.

Ian looked at Tessa's hand with some surprise. There were no gems or infinity gloves on it, but a snap of her fingers still had a world-changing effect.

"Is this the power of Reapers?"

Ian didn't know much about this special species. He only knew that there were Grim Reapers in the American TV series "Supernatural", and this also made him realize what his [Death Knight Follower] status meant.

"If you want to be a Reaper, I can submit an application for you and let you start working early." The Goddess of Death, Tessa, seemed speechless at the curious boy.

There was a hint of hidden dissatisfaction in her tone.

"Be calm and don't panic." Ian looked up at the name of the hospital building. He seemed to be thinking about something, which again caused Tessa, the God of Death, to ask about it.

"What are you thinking about staring at that?"

She tilted her head cutely and spoke in confusion.

"I think the name of this hospital is not very nice."

Ian responded.

"???"

Tessa the Reaper took a deep breath. (Did she even need to breathe?)

"If one day I'm interested in becoming the mayor, I will definitely rename this place as the Metropolitan First People's Hospital..." Ian was still muttering.

"stop!"

Death Tessa couldn't help but interrupt him.

"Has anyone ever told you that you might have some problems with your brain?" The woman who always prided herself on having a good temper and a high upbringing couldn't hold it in any longer. She even regretted her choice.

"Yes, I have a certificate from the doctor."

Ian rummaged through his school uniform and pulled out a crumpled medical record, which had been placed in a drawer in the living room along with the medicine prescribed by the doctor.

Now the medicine has run out, but the proof is still there.

"???????"

Tessa was already thinking about returning the goods back to the class.

"Hurry up."

She took a few deep breaths again.

"This is the only help I can give you from now on."

After saying.

She poked Ian in the middle of the eyebrow as if she was in a hurry to get off work. Then, before Ian could react, the female reaper had disappeared from the spot.

She poked Ian in the middle of the eyebrow as if she was in a hurry to get off work. Then, before Ian could react, the female reaper had disappeared from the spot.

The next moment.

The world suddenly started to work again. The sirens of the ambulance, the sound of the wheels of the cart, and the shouts of the medical staff all rushed into his eardrums. Ian found that there were people coming and going around him.

But no one noticed the young man who seemed to appear out of nowhere.

[Temporary curse: For 24 hours, you will be immune to death. ]

On the status bar, the clear icon was flashing.

It is a status that seems negative but is actually positive.

The incredible effect was so great that Ian almost couldn't help but stab himself twice on the spot.
