The whole guild was drowned in a sea of whispers, some in awe and some judging and trying to come with 'normal' explanations such as he found it dead or that it were gifted to him, but these claims were quickly retorted by others saying that to gift a B rank monster would be plain stupid.
Te-Ho slowly took off his cloak, turning around slightly, gazing at the adventurers with his pitch black eyes as his lips curled up.
'This is quite the unexpected development.' He thought, turning his gaze back toward the lady who was still staring at the corpse in awe.
Snapping out of her conundrum, the lady turned her gaze at Te-Ho finally taking a good look at the adventurer capable of hunting a B rank monster that even a party of seasoned adventurers would struggle with.
But the moment her gaze met with the adventurers face, she received another big shock—though this was directed to her heart. The man in front of her was well built, tall, great facial harmony and most of all had beautiful, deep black eyes like the void itself.
Her expression quickly turned flushed, as she quickly adjusted her posture and hair. Causally opening the third button of her white blouse, revealing quite a decent bit of cleavage as she leaned back into her chair, nibbling on her index finger and stealing quiet glances at the mysterious and handsome adventurer.
Te-Ho stepped forward, a faint smirk playing on his lips as he rested both palms on the counter, leaning in just enough for his voice to drop into velvet.
"You good there? I know it's a lot to take in all at once. The corpse and the man, I mean." He asked.
The clerk nearly choked on her own breath but covered it with a half-hearted cough. Her fingers twitched near the register as if they'd just remembered their job.
"Hah. Confident, aren't we?" She replied, half flustered.
Te-Ho cocked his eyebrows a little before saying. "You tell me. I just walked in with a monster that half this room probably pissed themselves looking at. Confidence's the least I deserve."
He let his eyes flick down—slowly and deliberately—to her recently revealed cleavage, then back up with a lazy grin.
"Though, I'm starting to think I might not be the only dangerous thing in this room." He added.
She cleared her throat, adjusting her papers in an angry manner, as if Te-Ho's remark had offended her. But the flush in her cheeks betrayed her.
"I assume you're here to register the kill, not flirt with the staff."
"Why not both? Gotta get my coins and a person to spend them with." Te-Ho shrugged.
"Assuming a lot for a man in a tattered and dusty cloak."
Te-Ho leaned in closer, lowering his voice, barely loud enough to be heard as he whispered into her ears. "Darlin', if that monster was the only thing I was hiding under this cloak , you'd be disappointed. And I've got a feeling… you don't like being disappointed."
"I think that's enough trouble for today." She said snapping her ledger shut and pointed towards a few small windows on the right wall. "You can exchange dead monsters over there."
"I'll be waiting." Te-Ho muttered as he turned back around and quietly started walking toward the exchange windows.
[Holy shit those lines were cheesy. I almost died of cringe there… And I can't even die! How did you even get into that many affairs back in your previous life? Heck why were you even trying to ban with her right now? I thought you were supposed to get smarter but alas all you've become is more arrogant and horny.]
'Intelligence and arrogance go hand in hand my friend. And as for why I was flirting… don't worry about it. I have a plan.'
[If that's flirting then I might as well be omniscient.]
'Hehe! You won't get it, flirting is just a way to let them know you are down to fuck. Most woman decide if they wanna do it by just taking a glance at you.'
[Why do you sound so damn superior? I am the brains here you know…]
'Yes, you are.' Te-Ho smirked, as he exchanged the carcass, recovering a total of twelve gold coins in return.
[Ugh—this is so damn annoying!]

After spending an hour loitering around and exploring the rest of the city, Te-Ho finally had a rough idea about the economy of the kingdom.
Sitting on a wooden chair in the park, Te-Ho looked around at the relatively clean and well designed area, filled with flowers, greenery and a few swings. He played with a gold coin in his hand flicking it between his fingers as he leaned back to calculate his finances.
'Hmm… a single gold coin is called a Folli, and is worth five paper notes coins called Frances below that are copper coins called Ruble. Seven ruble together make up one Frances, and a Folli is thirty five rubble. As of now I have four hundred and twenty rubble.'
[Seems kinda little doesn't it? Given the reaction I was expecting it to be like a rather huge sum.]
'Not necessarily, it's still quite a bit considering you can have a seven course meal for a mere two Folli, or get a complete formal suit custom made for about four Folli. Things like bread and beer are around one to three rubble based on quality.'
Getting up, Te-Ho looked at the grayish clouds that were rolling in, before covering his head with the hood and walking off.
'At the end of the day it's still a B rank monster, most probably there also exist monsters at the A and S tier too, so they must be worth way more. It's just a guess but the rate of these monsters is probably exponential. So a D rank would be worth mere pennies but an S or maybe even an A rank would be enough to buy an entire manor.'
[…That 10 stats increase is quite impressive, you almost sound like a revered intellectual.]
'That so?' Te-Ho chuckled as he walked across the sidewalk next to the main road inside the town. By then the clouds had completely moved overhead and a light drizzle had already begun.
'Hmm… guess I'll get something to drink before meeting with that receptionist… Oh wait! I also need decent clothes.'
