Chapter 26 - **Chapter 26 Norman Osborn**

**Chapter 26 Norman Osborn**

On the Golf Course lawn, Norman Osborn was playing alone.

His swing was powerful, but his mind was clearly not on the game.

Several times, he even swung and missed the ball entirely.

Norman Osborn was somewhat lost in thought. Just moments ago, Moon had rejected Oscorp's proposal to increase political contributions.

As a high-ranking member of the Republican Party, Moon's attitude towards Osborn spoke volumes.

It was clear that the Republican Party did not favor Oscorp's development; they were more inclined to cooperate with Stark Industries.

For Osborn, the bad news didn't stop there.

Their Cooperation Agreement with the Federal Department of Defense was nearing its expiration, and there had been no news regarding a Contract Renewal.

The Individual Flight Device developed by the research department was also held up by the Department of Defense's Procurement Department due to its excessive cost.

A string of bad news left Norman Osborn feeling unusually depressed, with a constant urge to destroy everything.

Financial Report Data, Stock Price... thinking of the aggressive faces of the Directors every time the Board of Directors convened.

Norman Osborn felt the veins on his forehead throbbing.

As the President of Oscorp, he was constrained by those useless members of the Board of Directors.

Damn the Board of Directors, they had forgotten that Oscorp belonged only to the Osborn Family.

"The Board of Directors should be purged!"

A hint of green light flashed deep within Norman Osborn's eyes. In his mind, it was as if someone was whispering in his ear, like a tempting Demon.

His grip on the Golf Club tightened, and the Carbon Fiber club emitted a cracking sound as it couldn't withstand the pressure.

"Mr. Norman, what a coincidence!"

A voice pulled Norman Osborn out of his auditory hallucination.

He looked up, seeing the Asian youth walking towards him, and felt a sense of familiarity!

"You are?"

As a former Intern at Oscorp, Tang Song had naturally met Norman Osborn in person.

However, as the President of a company with a market value of hundreds of billions, Norman Osborn naturally couldn't recognize every Employee.

The reason Tang Song seemed familiar was due to the importance Norman placed on Professor Connors' experiment.

Tang Song, this Little Nobody, as a Research Assistant, had left him with some impression, however slight.

"Tang Song, I currently run a Trading Company. I see Mr. Norman doesn't look well, would you like me to call a doctor for you?"

Tang Song extended his hand towards Norman Osborn.

Norman Osborn politely shook Tang Song's hand. His usually stern face held a hint of vigilance and scrutiny, and his tone was distant.

"Thank you, I'm just a little tired, I don't need a doctor!"

Norman Osborn knew exactly what his problem was; it wasn't something modern science could solve.

In his youth, he dedicated himself to researching an Agent that could enhance Human Physical Strength.

He hoped to improve Human capabilities in terms of Strength, Speed, and Metabolism.

At the time, eager for quick results, he experimented on his own body, leading to Gene Mutation due to the incomplete drug.

And the most tragic part was that this Gene Mutation was Hereditary.

For himself, and also for the Osborn Family,

Norman Osborn tried everything possible to treat the Gene Mutation in his body.

Because of this, Oscorp's focus had shifted towards Gene research over the years.

Gene research required significant investment, and seeing a return would take at least several years, or even more than a decade.

Such massive investment without seeing a return was undoubtedly like throwing their money away, especially for the Major Shareholders on the Board of Directors.

They didn't care about Norman Osborn's life or death. For them, as long as it didn't affect their ability to make money, it didn't matter who sat in the President's Position at Oscorp.

This was the root of the Conflict between Norman Osborn and the Board of Directors members: one was fighting for Survival, while the other side was fighting for money.

"I have a meeting to attend shortly. If you don't mind, I'll be leaving now!"

Norman Osborn politely nodded towards Tang Song and began tidying his Golf Club.

Norman Osborn had seen many people like Tang Song. At every large banquet, many people would come up to toast him and strike up conversations.

It was nothing more than seeking Investment or trying to increase their Network Resources.

Norman Osborn was already used to it.

However, he was not in the mood to deal with this Asian man before him. After tidying his Golf Club, Norman Osborn beckoned, and the Caddy waiting in the distance drove a Golf Cart towards them.

Tang Song stood aside, not particularly surprised by Norman Osborn's indifference.

Nor did he feel any so-called shame or anger at being looked down upon.

'Don't bully a young man for being poor' only happened in fairy tales.

A person's ability determined their status and worth.

Tang Song watched as Norman Osborn got onto the Golf Cart. With a flick of his hand, a small, coin-sized greenish Round Jade Pendant appeared in his palm.

"Mr. Norman, I see your Mental State isn't very good. I have an Accessory here that should be beneficial to your body!"

As Tang Song spoke, he held the Jade Pendant between his middle and index fingers and flicked it towards Norman Osborn.

Seeing the Jade Pendant flying towards him, Norman Osborn instinctively reached out and caught it.

The moment his palm touched the Jade Pendant, Norman Osborn felt a chilling sensation penetrate directly from his palm to his brain.

He shivered, and his tense Nerves instantly relaxed.

The feeling of comfort was so intense that Norman Osborn, who suffered from Insomnia every night, almost groaned aloud.

Looking at the Jade Pendant he had instinctively caught, intending to toss aside casually.

Norman Osborn tightly gripped the cool Jade Pendant in his palm. He looked at the Jade Pendant, then sized up Tang Song.

After a moment of thought, Norman Osborn got off the Golf Cart again and walked back to Tang Song. He took out a Business Card from inside his jacket.

"Mr. Tang, if you enjoy playing Golf, feel free to visit Osborn Manor sometime. I've built a private Golf Course on the Manor grounds. Although it's small, it's quite peaceful!"

It was a plain Business Card, neither gilded nor made of Jade Stone or jadeite.

There was no Position listed, only Norman Osborn's name, followed by a Phone Number.

"Mr. Norman is too kind. I will certainly have to trouble Mr. Norman then!"

Tang Song took the Business Card Norman Osborn handed him and returned his own.

...

"Lane, have we invested in Oscorp's stock?"

On the Private Helicopter, Tang Song toyed with a Jade Ring, asking Lane, who was in the pilot's seat.

His voice wasn't loud, just a normal speaking tone, but Tang Song's words sounded as if they were right next to Lane's ear. The noisy Propeller didn't affect his voice at all.

Lane replied loudly, "Boss, we did purchase some of Oscorp's stock, roughly around twenty million US Dollars!"

"Sell Off all the stock!"

Tang Song thought about Norman Osborn's state when he saw him just now. Beneath the calm exterior was a nearly uncontrollable frenzy.

Schizophrenia? Green Goblin! What Tang Song threw to Norman Osborn was a Heart-Calming Jade Pendant, a small item he usually used to suppress his own restless thoughts.

However, Norman Osborn's problem was a Gene issue. While this Jade Pendant could soothe his Spirit, it was only a temporary fix. The appearance of the Green Goblin was only a matter of time.

The reason Tang Song gave him the Jade Pendant was because Norman Osborn held significant Value, both economically and in terms of Influence.

People with value were worth taking seriously.

This Osborn situation was also quite interesting.

If he remembered correctly, Green Goblin, Second Generation Green Goblin, The Lizard, Sandman, Electro.

Oscorp, this Feng Shui Treasure Land, had produced five named Super Villains.

Oh, and there was also Doctor Octopus, who seemed to have also received Sponsorship from Oscorp.

"Withdraw another thirty million from the Account, find someone to register a Security Company, and put Kane in charge! Also, allocate sixty people to him!"

Tang Song remembered Kane's request from back then and decided to fulfill it.

"Yes, Boss!"

...

Over the next few days, a not-too-large sum of Funds passed through the Trading Company's Formal Channels and entered the political contributions in New York State. Once registered at the higher levels, under layer after layer of Green Light, the Security Company's registration was quickly completed.

"Boss, people from The Church have arrived!"

In the Manor, Tang Song was holding a handful of fish bait, feeding the Koi Carp in the Pond.

As he scattered the bait, over a dozen Koi Carp scrambled for it, their red and white scales intermingling, a truly beautiful sight.

His German bodyguard led in a burly black man wearing a leather jacket.
