"Alright, squad, here's the deal:
Imagine you know someone who used to be a cop. Now, this person is hurting people at home—domestic violence, the kind of stuff that's supposed to be against the law. But instead of helping, everyone in charge is ignoring it. Why? Because there's money, power, and maybe even some cover-ups involved. The grown-ups who should be helping are pretending they don't see it. The person who's being hurt is ready to fight back in court, maybe even take down the whole system. But they want to know: How do you slap the stupid out of people—without getting yourself in trouble? And what would you do if it was you?"
Kids' Honest Opinions
On the grown-ups ignoring it:
"If the people in charge don't do their jobs, they should get fired. Like, immediately. No gold stars for them."
"If you see something bad and you ignore it for money, you're just as bad as the person doing it. Maybe worse."
"That's like watching someone cheat at dodgeball and saying, 'Well, he's my friend, so it's fine.' Not cool."
On what you should do:
"Tell EVERYONE. If one teacher doesn't listen, tell the principal. If the principal doesn't listen, tell the news. If the news doesn't listen, make a TikTok. Someone will listen."
"Keep all the receipts! Write down everything, record it if you can. That way, when people say you're making it up, you can say, 'Nope, here's proof!'"
"If you're suing, go big. Don't just get justice for you—make it so nobody can ignore it again. Like, change-the-rules big."
On slapping the stupid out of people (without a lawsuit):
"Don't actually slap them, even if they deserve it. Use your words. Or memes. Or a really big sign."
"Sometimes the best way to embarrass people is to make them look silly in public. Like, 'Hey, why are you protecting a bad guy?' on a giant banner."
"If you can't slap the stupid out, maybe you can shame it out. Like, 'Hey, everyone, look what these people did!'"
On owning the world:
"If you win and own the world, can you make a rule that people have to be nice and not ignore bad stuff?"
"Don't forget to buy us all ice cream once you're in charge."
The Kids' Final Verdict
"You're doing the right thing by fighting back and not letting them get away with it."
"Don't stoop to their level—be louder, be smarter, and make sure everyone knows the truth."
"If you keep speaking up, eventually the right people will hear you. And if they don't, just keep getting louder. Grown-ups can't ignore you forever."
