JANVI'S POV
It had been three days since I started sitting next to Krish. Three long, exhausting, eye-roll-filled days.
He didn't talk much. Just stared out the window, or doodled weird abstract stuff in the margins of his notebook. But sometimes... I'd catch him watching me when he thought I wasn't looking.
Today was different.
As I shoved my books into my locker, a voice behind me said, "He's not what he seems, you know."
I turned. Yug.
Buttoned-up uniform. Neatly combed hair. Glasses slightly slipping down his nose.
But there was something sharp in his gaze today.
"What are you talking about?" I asked.
"Krish," he said, his voice low. "You're getting too close."
I laughed. "Too close? I barely t him."
Yug stepped closer, almost prote

"Good. Keep it that way."
I froze. "Are you warning me?"
He looked down, shoved his hands in his pockets. "Just... stay careful,
Janvi."
Before I could respond, a voice behind us cut in.
"Something wrong, Yug?"
Krish. Leaning against the wall, arms crossed, watching us both with a look I couldn't quite read. Annoyance? Jealousy?
Yug stepped back like a soldier standing at ease. "Nothing, bro. Just chatting."
Krish's eyes flicked to me. "You sure?"
I raised an eyebrow. "Why? You jealous?"
He smirked. "Of Yug? Never."
But something in his eyes said otherwise.
