JANVI'S POV
I was minding my own business - just trying to survive another boring lecture on molecular bonds - when I felt it.
Krish's stupid eyes on me.
Again.
I turned my head slowly, only to catch him leaning in, chin resting on his hand, smirk already loading like a weapon.
"What?" I hissed under my breath.
He shrugged. "Nothing. You just look... cute when you're confused."
My pen froze mid-sentence.
"Excuse me?"
He leaned a little closer, voice soft like silk. "I mean, the way your eyebrows scrunch like that. Kinda makes me want to kiss that little frown away."
My heart did a full somersault.
I blinked. "Are you high?"
He chuckled. "Only on your attitude.
I looked away, cheeks burning, mentally slapping myself for blushing. Not. The. Time.
Class ended, and as I walked toward the library, I bumped into someone. Books almost fell, but steady hands caught them - and me.
Yug.
"You okay?" he asked, adjusting his glasses.
"Yeah," I mumbled. "Wasn't looking."
"I noticed," he said with a small smile. "You were probably still thinking about Krish."
I froze.
He tilted his head. "You do that a lot."
I opened my mouth to deny it, but then he stepped closer, lowering his
voice.
"I just hope... you think about me too sometimes."
My breath hitched.
That was definitely flirting.
He leaned forward, his fingers ine as he handed back my book. "Don't worry. I don't need to be the.naest guy in the room," he saidhe said softly. "I just need to be the one who knows you best."
Then he walked away, just like that - leaving me speechless for the second time today.
Two boys. Two kinds of danger. And I was right in the middle.
