"Calm down, don't celebrate just yet. There's still one fundamental problem to solve, how to actually use the Time Stone!"
Fenris took a deep breath and settled his thoughts, then considered two of the simplest options.
Kamar-Taj's magic or Asgard's Infinity Gauntlet.
Kamar-Taj's library housed a magical tome known as the Book of Cagliostro, a book specifically focused on time magic. It also contained fragments of dark magic, including the ability to summon Dormammu, lord of the Dark Dimension.
In the movie, Kaecilius killed the librarian, stole pages from this book, and used them to summon Dormammu and invade Earth.
Whether Fenris had any talent for magic or could even learn it was still uncertain. And even if he could, he would need the Ancient One's approval first.
Instead of humbling himself and begging for permission, only to owe a favor, Fenris would rather try to extract the magic directly from the Ancient One.
As for Asgard's Infinity Gauntlet, sure, Hela claimed it was a fake, but if it was good enough to be displayed in the royal vault, it must still be functional.
Kamar-Taj or Asgard?
The Ancient One or Odin?
Fenris decided to go for both.
The Ancient One's magic and Odin's Odinforce were both top-tier powers.
More importantly, provoking either one wouldn't lead to massive fallout. If Fenris couldn't win, he could always run.
Odin was far away in Asgard and wouldn't come to Earth.
The Ancient One didn't meddle in mortal affairs, and at most would only go after Fenris personally, not interfere with the growth of Everywhere Logistics.
So what's there to hesitate about?
Let's do it. Clean and efficient.
Fenris placed the Time Stone in the vault and headed downstairs.
Several desks were scattered around, and Aunt May was helping the staff set up equipment.
Seemingly frail Jessica Jones and Madam Gao were hauling shelving units into the corner of the lobby, shocking the technicians nearby with their raw strength.
The once-empty lobby was beginning to resemble a proper delivery service center.
"You guys, come over here. This is the company boss, Fenris," Jessica Jones waved over three Asian men who had been helping out.
"They're the ones we interviewed, all selected based on your criteria."
For delivery jobs, no special skills were required. As long as they were healthy and could follow orders, they were good enough.
Whether they'd qualify for Super Soldier Serum injections would need long-term observation. Loyalty was the first hurdle.
"Hello, boss. I'm Li Martin," said a middle-aged man with a flattering smile.
"Hello, boss, I'm–"
"Hello, boss, I'm–"
The other two introduced themselves in turn, but Fenris had already stopped listening.
Li Martin? Martin Li?
Wasn't that Mr. Negative?
A Spider-Man villain, the "Kingpin" of Chinatown. He possessed superhuman strength and enhanced physical abilities, and was a skilled street fighter.
He could manipulate and release negative energy to amplify a target's dark emotions, causing even close friends, family members, or loving couples to turn on each other.
This energy could also be projected as blasts or solidified into weapons like swords, blades, and spears for direct combat.
He was a formidable, strategic street-level villain, just not a particularly famous one.
His confrontations with Spider-Man rarely ended in clear victories. When Spidey touched him, his personality would flip entirely, turning pure justice into pure evil.
In that sense, Mr. Negative was one of Spider-Man's natural nemeses.
Like most East Asians, Martin Li generally avoided conflict unless it involved rival gangs or his own turf.
Aunt May showing up for the job was already a surprise. Now here was Mr. Negative?
"You. Come with me," Fenris said, pointing at Martin Li before walking out of the company.
Martin looked nervously toward Jessica Jones, who had recruited him. Seeing no unusual reaction from her, he hurried to follow.
Outside, Fenris turned into a nearby alley. As soon as Martin Li caught up, Fenris grabbed his shoulder and hurled him against the wall.
Bang!
Martin winced in pain, his face flushing as he tried to speak. But before he could utter a word, Fenris grabbed him by the throat.
His eyes glowed red-hot, swirling with intense light like hellfire, instantly silencing Martin Li.
Fenris's voice was cold and menacing. His heat vision was primed and ready, as if it could burn through Martin's skull at any moment.
The moment Fenris attacked, the loot confirmed Martin Li's identity.
Negative Energy!
"I know who you are, and I know what you can do."
Waves of negative energy surged into Martin Li's body through Fenris's fingers. Martin's expression shifted from shock to horror as his body began to change.
His skin turned black and semi-translucent, like an image developed on old film.
That was how he got the name Mr. Negative.
