"Heh... playing dirty, huh?" Haruka muttered with a tired smile as he looked up.

(The Past)

In a small wooden house, two people sat across from each other, playing a card game.

"Boy! I didn't think you'd stoop so low!" an old man shouted, throwing his cards to the floor in frustration.

The old man looked frail, clearly in his sixties, with pale blue eyes and a bald head. He stood about 5'5", dressed in a plain green t-shirt and blue shorts that barely reached his knees.

"Woah there, old man… you're gonna hurt yourself!" the younger boy said, catching the scattered cards midair.

"I wouldn't be throwing anything if you hadn't cheated!" the old man barked, now flipping the table at the boy.

"Wait—hey, don't throw that!" the boy yelled, scrambling outside just as the wooden table hit him square in the back.

Later, on the porch, the boy sat with a bag of frozen peas pressed against his head.

"Man... Kohaku, your grandpa's something else. How the hell is he still that strong?" the boy asked, looking at the little girl beside him.

Kohaku was just four years old, barely 3'5" tall, with round blue eyes and shoulder-length blonde hair. She wore her kindergarten uniform, legs swinging gently above the floor.

"I dunno, Haruka..." she replied softly.

So the boy's name was Haruka—eighteen years old, fit, and tall at 5'11". His dark green eyes contrasted with the curl of brown hair that brushed his neck. He still wore his graduation outfit, slightly scuffed from the earlier chaos.

"Yeah, well... eighteen years. Not much to show for it, huh," Haruka murmured, glancing to the side. He tossed the peas into the trash can.

"What do you mean?" Kohaku asked curiously.

"You'll understand when you're older. You're only four, so don't worry about stuff like that." Haruka crouched and gently lifted Kohaku onto his shoulders.

"Woah!" she squealed, nearly toppling backward.

"Whoops! Sorry, Kohaku!" Haruka chuckled, holding her steady with a gentle smile.

"You almost dropped me, you idiot!" she pouted, puffing her cheeks.

"Don't be mad... Oh, I know where your grandpa hides his ice cream stash." Haruka grinned mischievously.

"Really?! Let's go!" Kohaku said, suddenly beaming, a drop of drool hanging from her lip.

"Yup, time to steal some ice cream!" Haruka said as he bolted toward the house, Kohaku cheering on his shoulders.

"Wheee~!" she cried, spreading her arms like airplane wings.

(Back to Present)

"Heh... how did it all come to this, huh?" Haruka whispered, staring up at the crimson moon. For a moment, his face was filled with disbelief—then, acceptance. He smiled faintly.

"You can ask her yourself," Fyn said coldly as she drove her hand through Haruka's chest.

His eyes widened, more in surprise than pain.

"Ow... You just took my heart, and I think I'm falling for you," he joked weakly, collapsing as blood stained the dirt beneath him.

"That wasn't even funny," Fyn muttered, shaking her head.

"Well, I've defeated my foe... Now, what about Hynfort?" she asked, glancing up—only to freeze in horror.

The sky had turned red. A blood moon loomed above, and massive meteors, half the size of the moon, pierced the atmosphere like divine judgment.

"What the hell!? He lied again?! Tch... no use crying over spilled milk. I need to warn Hynfort—now!" she growled, catching glimpses of lightning crackling in the far-off distance.

"I need to tell Hynfort to teleport us out!" Fyn shouted, sprinting toward the battlefield where Hynfort stood

"I see... That never happened in my memory," Noysd muttered, watching the meteors fall from the sky. "Well, that answers my question."

"What do you mea—oh... shit!" Hynfort swore, eyes wide as he bolted toward Fyn.

"Hynfort, now!" Fyn cried, grabbing his hand.

"Got it!" he chanted a spell hurriedly, and the two vanished in a blink of light.

Noysd remained behind for a moment, scanning the burning sky.

"There's the portal..." he said quietly, walking into the swirling rift. As it closed behind him, the world crumbled—cities wiped out, innocents perishing under falling fire and ash.

(At Noysd's House)

A glowing portal ripped open the room, tossing everything out of place. Noysd stumbled out, exhausted.

"Man... that was tiring," he sighed. Sitting at a desk, he began writing in a worn leather diary with a pen—not a pencil.

"Let's see... The portal leads to other dimensions. Fyn and Hynfort might be new characters. Downloading hentai games could be possible if I learn how to code... and oddly, gay porn still exists in this world. Huh. Noted."

He paused.

"Now for the main mission... I still have no idea," he mumbled, heading to the kitchen.

"Man, I'm hungry..." he said, pulling out some bread dough from the cupboard.

"...I miss Mom's cooking," he whispered, conjuring a fireball in his hand.

(4 Hours Later)

"Well, that wasn't fun to wait for..." Noysd muttered, taking a bite of the poorly baked bread.

"...Tastes just like the past.....
