The raid on the E-Class Wormhole Portal with a Lord-Class Monster was successful.
Scythes that raided the E-Class Wormhole Portal led by Marc Mckinley, a C-Class Scythe, had safely left the Wormhole Portal with minimal injuries.
Workers were outside the Wormhole Portal. They were wearing worker clothes and hats with a blue and white jacket and were holding pickaxes in their hands. There were also huge steel carts, and big tow trucks.
…
"Good work everyone! I'm proud to say that you will accomplish great things in your career as a Scythe. Considering this was your first battle against a Lord-Class Monster, even if it was a goblin, you all did pretty good! You should be proud of yourselves!"
The raid leader, Marc McKinley praised everyone's efforts in the battle.
"Thank you sir! We will do our best!"
The Scythes responded with gratitude.
"Seriously! I thought I was gonna die there for a second!"
A Scythe who had also joined the raid party said, trying to maintain his composure.
"Yeah! Me too!"
"Seriously!"
"But thankfully, the raid leader was with us, so we didn't have to worry that much!"
"True!"
"Can't agree with you more!"
"Mm-hmm!"
"Raid leader was truly amazing!"
"Yeah! The way you fought against the Lord-Class Goblin was really something!"
The Scythes commented on the raid leader's performance in the battle.
"No, no! The one who's truly impressive is you guys! You held your ground against something that was far stronger than you!"
The raid leader responded, disagreeing with their claims.
"Especially you three. Jasmine Sung, Henry Smith, and Marine Millers."
The raid leader added, looking at the three.
Jasmine Sung, Henry Smith, and Marine Millers looked at the raid leader in confusion, unable to understand the meaning of his words.
"You three have the highest potential in this group."
The raid leader said, proudly.
"Jasmine Sung. The way you use your "Fire Magic" is incredible. You fight like someone who will burn her enemies to the ground. As a C-Class Scythe, the output of your "Fire Magic" is nothing to scoff at."
He said, complementing Jasmine Sung's fighting style.
Jasmine Sung looked at him, and her eyes slightly widened in surprise.
"Henry Smith. Your "Barrier Magic" is quite something. You protect your companions till your last breath. And let me tell you, when that Lord-Class Goblin was about to unleash it's flurry of attacks, I thought that was the end of us. But then, I saw you, and my hopes were skyrocketed, because I knew that you wouldn't let the Lord-Class Goblin's attack land on us, and crumble us into smithereens. Your dedication to protecting others is undeniable."
He added, complementing Henry Smith's "Barrier Magic", and his dedication to protecting others.
Henry Smith looked at him in surprise before widening his eyes.
"Hmph!", he then closed his eyes, and softly chuckled.
"And Finally, Marine Millers."
The raid leader said, and shifted his eyes onto her.
"What does he have to say about me? I was terrible. I was terrified. I'm supposed to be a Healer, and I couldn't even do my job right. I started breaking down when I couldn't regenerate someone's arm. The sight of another person's blood was enough to make me terrified. It was enough to make me cry. With how bad I was during the raid, I suppose he's gonna say something nice to cheer me up. But, he doesn't have to do that to make me feel good. I know I'm mediocre compared to other Healers. I know that. You don't have to sugarcoat it."
Marine Millers thought. Not knowing what the raid leader might say about her, she began complaining about her own lack of healing understanding, knowledge, and abilities.
Her expression darkened because of the negative thoughts she had. She averted her eyes, and stared at the ground.
"I don't have much to say about you."
The raid leader said, while looking at her.
"I knew it. What was I thinking, that he might have something nice to say? He didn't even sugarcoat it. Why am I feeling sad? You're a failure, and you know it's the truth."
Marine Millers began having even more negative thoughts towards herself.
And after hearing those words her expression darkened even more.
"Except that I haven't seen a Healer so young in all my life! A Healer so young and equally talented!"
The raid leader said, complementing Marine Millers.
These words completely shocked her as she looked up at the raid leader in disbelief.
"The amount of time it takes for you to bring someone back to full health is astonishing! I'm gonna be honest here, at first I thought you were just some average healer because you signed up for an E-Class Wormhole Portal raid. But, after seeing you tend to everyone's injuries not one by one, but at the same time, I was shocked. I'm just gonna say, there isn't a Healer like you that I know of. You can bring Scythes back to full health, restore their mana, and heal their injuries. Your talents as a Healer are 1 in a Billion. Just keep working on your "Healing Magic" and you'll be the best Healer in the world!"
The raid leader said, with a proud laugh.
"Huh? What is he saying? What does he mean by that? I thought I was mediocre. No, I am mediocre. Even still, why is he saying that I have some sort of world breaking talent. I don't understand. Is he making fun of me? Maybe he is. Either way, I'm not some great healer with talent, I know that."
Marine Millers thought and looked at the raid leader in confusion. She was in disbelief. It was as if what he said about her was completely false. She interpreted that everything he said was untrue.
"While I said so much about them, don't think I forgot about you guys!"
The raid leader said, averting his eyes from the three and looking at the other Scythes.
"Just keep working hard, and you'll become strong, and capable Scythes!"
He added.
…
"Alright everyone! Now that the raid is over, miners, and corpse collectors will go inside the Wormhole Portal and mine the materials and collect all the corpses."
The raid leader said, with a serious expression.
"The payment will be done shortly. You will receive it on your bank account."
He added.
"Now that the raid is over, you're free to go anywhere."
He added.
"It was a pleasure to meet you, and raid this Wormhole Portal together! I hope we raid another Wormhole Portal in the future just like this! With that said, have a great day! And till we meet again!"
The raid leader said, with a big smile on his face.
"Till we meet again!"
The Scythes responded in unison, and left the area of the Wormhole Portal.
Some went straight to their homes. While others went somewhere else.
